Job Title: Service Technician

Compensation:
Our technicians are offered a pay scale consisting of flat rate and production bonus compensation ranging between $33.00 and $50.00, based on experience and qualifications.
Position Summary:
As a Service Technician at Modesto Subaru, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles in alignment with Subaru standards and providing exceptional service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair a variety of vehicle issues, using advanced diagnostic equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid level checks, and general mechanic work.
- Repair and replace parts such as brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors, and other components.
- Communicate automotive issues and repairs clearly to customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Plan and follow repair procedures using technical manuals, experience, and repair charts.
- Test the functionality of vehicle parts and systems post-repair to ensure quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Stay current with training and certification, including ongoing hands-on learning opportunities.
- Uphold professional appearance and conduct at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; 1-3 years of related experience or training preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: A valid driver's license and ASE certifications are required.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using diagnostic tools and systems such as Reynolds & Reynolds DMS and Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Drive, Meet).
- Required Skills:
- Strong background in automotive and engine repair.
- Ability to provide friendly, high-quality customer service.
