Full Job Description
This role is responsible for all business aspects of Applied Materials MDP/ALD Service Business Unit - Service Product Segment supplying the semiconductor industry. This person will engage cross-functionally to drive all aspects of the business and product lifecycle to deliver to customer and business expectations. This is a high growth business opportunity within Applied Materials Global Service Division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leads regional business and customer strategy, planning and execution for the North American and/or European regional service business
  • Builds understanding of regional and customer specific market requirements to provide inputs on customer and market requirements for product development needs
  • Responsible for service product marketing activities, developing opportunity value proposition, business sizing, sales opportunity analysis, Go-To-Market strategy including 7Ps of service marketing
  • Leads the development of pricing models/strategy, financial plans, business case assessment and analytics for the service opportunities
  • Engages directly with customers, business development, service sales, field service and other value chain partners to deliver to business and stakeholder expectations
  • Sponsors/drives inorganic growth activities and partnership development to support business execution and delivery
  • Drive program and business outcomes utilizing applied and industry best practices/processes (CRM, SF, ERP etc...)
  • Deeply engages with technical application and product development execution to ensure program success (Performance/Capability, Cost, Timing)
  • Full product lifecycle ownership facilitating PDP and end of life support programs
  • Drives activities for the Service Business Unit through strong cross-functional engagement across multiple geographies & external partners in Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Legal etc... to deliver to release schedules and business financials
  • Makes customer and management presentations on Service Business Unit business to support sales opportunity development, strategic and business planning, and service opportunity penetration
  • Communicates business progress and execution to senior executive and stakeholders to successfully secure necessary support and resources to deliver to growth expectations
  • Uses business analytics tools to support internal business analysis and reporting

  • Higher Degree or equivalent experience with minimum 7+ years of industry experience
  • Demonstrates depth and/or breadth of expertise in Wafer Fabrication Equipment and Metal and Atomic Layer Deposition Products operation and business
  • Demonstrates understanding of service business principles
  • Customer focused - Strong business and commercial acumen with previous regional leadership, management, or marketing/sales experience
  • Strong program management and technical acumen with past product marketing experience
  • High financial acumen and analytical/data-oriented decision-making style
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using Microsoft Excel
  • Positive can-do entrepreneurial attitude that builds support
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal presence that extends confidence and humility
  • Experience building and delivering executive level presentations
  • Ability to innovate and solve unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business
  • Critical thinking and ability to influence and communicate effectively with multiple internal stakeholders (technologists, engineering, Ops, finance, marketing, strategy)
  • Ability to anticipate customer needs, business and regulatory issues; recommend product, process or service improvements

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
