Mead & Hunt has an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated senior engineer to work with our water/wastewater group in Texas.
Responsibilities include:- Designing water/wastewater facility projects
- Evaluating and analyzing existing projects
- Preparing or modifying reports, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, permits, and designs for projects
- Preparing design computations and quantity estimates
- Serving as the project manager on various size projects
- Developing construction cost estimates for projects within the department
- Attending day and night client meetings as necessary
- Both public and private sector clients will be served
Some travel will be required
Successful candidates will have all of the following:- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil, chemical, environmental or mechanical engineering or related field from an accredited college or university
- At least eight (8) years of relevant work experience
- PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in TX within six months of hire
Ideal candidates will have any/all of the following:- Experience with water/wastewater facilities design (treatment, transmission, collection/distribution, pump stations and storage facilities)
- Experience with construction administration tasks related to water/wastewater projects
- Experience with process and hydraulic modeling
- Project management experience
- Texas Professional Engineering license
