Senior Vice President - Finance
Location: USA - Remote

Overview
The Senior Vice President - Finance will serve as a senior, enterprise-facing finance leader responsible for driving financial strategy, long-range planning, capital allocation, financial performance, and strategic execution. The role will partner closely with the CFO, CEO, executive leadership, and other senior stakeholders to strengthen financial discipline and support continued organizational growth.
A key priority for this role will be IPO readiness and execution. The ideal candidate must have demonstrated experience supporting or leading an IPO and understand the financial reporting, governance, controls, planning, and capital markets requirements associated with transitioning to a public company. Experience in Healthcare and Diagnostics Lab space is required.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the CFO and executive leadership on financial strategy, long-range planning, and enterprise value creation.
Lead and support IPO readiness and execution, including financial reporting, controls, governance, planning, and public-company preparedness.
Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models covering P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, scenario planning, valuation, and long-range forecasts.
Provide financial analysis and recommendations related to capital allocation, capital structure, liquidity, and strategic investments.
Support strategic transactions, M&A evaluation, financial due diligence, valuation, and investment analysis as required.
Strengthen financial planning, forecasting, reporting, controls, and finance processes as the organization scales.
Prepare executive- and board-level financial presentations, analysis, and recommendations.
Partner cross-functionally with Accounting, FP&A, Operations, Commercial, Legal, and external advisors on strategic initiatives.
Establish financial governance and accountability frameworks for major investments and enterprise initiatives.
Identify financial risks, opportunities, and dependencies and provide fact-based recommendations to senior leadership.
Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing finance organization.
Required Experience & Skills
Significant progressive experience in senior finance leadership roles, including enterprise-level financial strategy and decision-making.
Proven experience leading or supporting an IPO process is required.
Industry experience in Healthcare and Diagnostics Lab space is required.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
Strong expertise in corporate finance, FP&A, financial planning, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Advanced financial modeling capabilities, including operating models, scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, valuation, and long-range planning.
Strong understanding of capital allocation, capital structure, liquidity, leverage, and financial value drivers.
Experience with public-company readiness, financial controls, governance, and reporting requirements.
Experience supporting strategic transactions, M&A, financial due diligence, or corporate development initiatives.
Ability to translate complex financial analysis into concise, executive-ready presentations and recommendations.
Strong executive presence and ability to communicate effectively with C-suite leaders, board members, auditors, advisors, and other senior stakeholders.
Demonstrated integrity, discretion, sound judgment, and ability to manage highly confidential financial information.
Nice to Have
Experience taking a private genetics, genomics, diagnostics, or life sciences research organization through a successful IPO.
Experience operating in a public-company environment following an IPO.
Experience with investor relations, capital markets, SEC reporting, or public-company financial requirements.
MBA, CPA, CFA, or another relevant advanced finance or business credential.
Prior experience in investment banking, private equity, Big Four advisory, consulting, or strategic finance.
Experience building and leading a high-performing finance team within a high-growth genetics or life sciences organization.
