Senior Vice President, Broker, Construction Casualty

Our Construction & Infrastructure Practice is looking for a Senior Casualty Broker. This is a great opportunity to join the Construction & Infrastructure team to broker/consult on behalf of a diversified client base with insurance underwriters in the Casualty insurance discipline.

This is a hybrid role that requires working onsite at least 3 days a week from our St. Louis, MO office.

What the day will look like

You'll be responsible for assessing client needs, designing solutions and negotiating with insurance carriers to obtain coverage that is in a client's best interests

  • Professional who develops and manages client relationships, account strategies and insurance marketing activities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the client, in broking, designing, selling and servicing complex accounts
  • Provide outstanding and timely service and support to clients, relationship managers and originator
  • Identify and analyze client exposures and ensure policy coverage addresses all such exposures
  • Facilitate the compilation of submission information in conjunction with clients, relationship managers, originators and service center support
  • Finalize market submission and product design options to clients, relationship managers, and originators
  • Review and analyze quotes and binders to ensure appropriate coverage
  • Detailed knowledge of the existing and prospected business within the segment
  • Insurance Carrier relations specific to the segment
  • Bespoke Broking and account reviews
  • Detailed knowledge of the market dynamics within the segment
  • Retain and grow assigned clients / prospects
  • Adhere to the highest standards of professionalism and ethical behavior in all activities and able to work well in a team environment
  • Travel as required for client, prospect and industry events

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Minimum 15+ years construction/infrastructure customer service and brokerage support experience
  • Agent/Broker License
  • Proven collaboration skills - Prioritizes team success over individual recognition
  • Strong oral presentation skills and the ability to clearly articulate complex written messages
  • A network of carrier relationships
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Develop proficiency in use of in-house account management systems (CRBA, CRA and future Aon brokerage and analytics tools)

Preferred Experience
  • Broking experience on major complex risks
  • Management Skills Preferred
  • Computer knowledge: Adept with Microsoft Office Suite

Education
  • Bachelor's degree required

The salary range for this position is $169,900 - $250,000 annually. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
