How you will create an impact- Onboard new business opportunities.
- Handle up to 2 medium-sized Group Captive accounts.
- Maintain clear and concise underwriting files and perform self-audits for other underwriters.
- Communicate risk appetite/Captive Solutions Value Proposition to brokers.
Work with Associate Underwriter(s) to ensure booking and coding on accounts are completed. - Resolve account-related questions from internal peers and/or Clients/ Brokers that are within their scope; or escalate to leadership.
- Participate in client (internal/external) conference calls.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with the Producers and Captive Intermediaries.
What you'll need to succeed- 5 years of relevant professional experience; Prior insurance experience required.
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Demonstrated sales, marketing and relationship building experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Highly motivated and results-oriented.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment, adapting to changing requirements and collaborating with a wide range of colleagues to quickly deliver solutions.
- Willingness to be flexible, learn on the job, and maintain a can-do-attitude.
For positions based in New York, the base salary range is $105,000-$135,000. For positions based in Chicago, the base salary range is $100,000-$130,000. In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
