Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; preferred qualification includes 4 years of aviation design experience, with a strong understanding of FAA standards.
• Senior positions available for candidates with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and Microsoft Excel is desirable.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong client service focus.
• Strong team player with good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
• Eagerness to learn new skills relevant to the position.

Responsibilities

• Design runways, taxiways, aprons, and other airfield projects following FAA Advisory Circulars.
• Create designs for landside facilities, including roads, parking, and utilities.
• Supervise and mentor designers and CADD technicians to ensure design quality.
• Lead civil design projects utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D expertise.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines under the guidance of the Aviation Service Director.
• Manage construction projects, acting as the owner's representative throughout the build.
• Obtain necessary permits from local municipalities and statewide agencies to ensure compliance.
