Full Job Description
As our Senior Trade Compliance Analyst, you will be part of the Global Trade and customs department within JBT Marel.

In this role, you will report to the Director of Global Trade and Customs Compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and maintain HS/HTS classifications and support ECCN determinations for equipment, spare parts, components, electronics, software, and related technologies.
  • Review and validate broker filings, customs documentation, customs values, country of origin declarations, and trade remedy applicability.
  • Act as support for CBP Requests for Information (CF-28/29s etc), audits, post-entry reviews, and compliance inquiries.
  • Design, document, and continuously improve import/export processes, controls, SOPs, and governance procedures.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, compliance analytics, and exception reporting to monitor key trade compliance KPIs, identify operational and regulatory risks, and drive data-driven decision making. Partner closely with customs brokers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, broker instructions, service level expectations, and established standard operating procedures.
  • Lead trade compliance projects, system enhancements, and automation initiatives.
  • Coordinate with logistics providers, customs brokers, procurement, engineering, and manufacturing teams to standardize global processes.
  • Support internal and external audits and conduct periodic reviews of trade compliance controls and records.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and present risk assessments and recommendations to senior leadership.


Cross-Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, Procurement, and other cross-functional teams to resolve trade and customs-related issues.
  • Drive process improvements and implement best practices that enhance compliance, efficiency, and operational performance.
  • Support strategic decision-making by providing detailed analysis, insights, and recommendations.
  • Prepare and present findings, compliance resolutions, and improvement recommendations to management and key stakeholders.


Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience within a corporate global trade compliance organization.
  • Experience in international trade, customs compliance, and corporate supply chain analysis.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% as business needs require.
  • Ability to work from the nearest JBT Marel U.S. facility when required.


Preferred:
  • Master's degree in International Trade or a related field.
  • U.S. Customs Broker License (Licensed Customs Broker) preferred.
  • Experience with export controls, sanctions compliance, customs audits, and trade compliance programs.
  • Knowledge of free trade agreements and customs valuation principles.
