Job Summary

We're looking for a Test Engineer III to independently design, develop, and execute test programs for radar hardware and software. You'll take full ownership of assigned test activities, work with greater autonomy than earlier-career engineers, and begin mentoring junior staff as you build toward broader technical leadership.

What you'll do:

Design & Execute Tests
  • Design, develop, and document test programs to measure the functionality and integrity of products and systems
  • Write test procedures and protocols to assess product reliability and verify performance against specifications
  • Debug test hardware and software independently, resolving issues to keep programs on schedule
  • Use computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis software as needed

Own Technical Delivery
  • Independently complete assigned technical tasks and projects on time and within budget
  • Design, develop, analyze, and document products, systems, or subsystems
  • Review customer specifications and requirements, and develop designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variable
  • Build prototypes to retire key development risks
  • Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems, and services
  • Support design-to-cost and design-for-manufacture requirements
  • Provide budget, cost, and schedule input for design and test assignments

Collaborate & Mentor
  • Communicate clearly, in writing and verbally, with manufacturing, supply chain, program management, and the customer
  • Provide technical knowledge and assistance to less-experienced engineers and support personnel
  • Participate in preparation of moderately complex proposals
  • Attend engineering, customer, and business meetings as required
  • Support, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values, and culture of the organization


What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of relevant engineering/test experience
  • Strong technical expertise and application domain knowledge
  • Proven ability to work independently and complete complex technical tasks
  • Ability to provide technical guidance to less-experienced engineers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.

The salary range for this position is $107,089.00/year-$144,570.00/year. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate's qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for: annual performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non-exempt employees as applicable.
