Full Job Description
Senior Technology Designer

In the role of Senior Technology Designer, we'll count on you to:

  • Evaluate, select and apply state-of-the-art low voltage technology system, techniques, procedures, design and modifications
  • Design and specify low voltage technology systems including but not limited to technology systems with structured cabling, outside plant and fiber optic systems
  • Take responsibility for complete set of construction documents
  • Recognize that assignments have objectives that require investigation of many variables
  • Independently perform low voltage technology/electrical engineering assignments with broad general instruction from Project Manager as to the results expected
  • Select and recommend procedures, security devices and equipment, write specifications covering all low voltage technology system matters, perform reviews, and work directly with owners as a part of project team
  • Assist other Designers, Project Coordinators or Technicians as needed, and be responsible for work in all phases of low voltage technology design process
  • Conduct QA/QC on work of other Project Coordinators or Technicians as needed
  • Perform other duties as needed.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Preference will be given to candidates interested in data center projects. Experience in Data Center design is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in use of Bluebeam REVU preferred.
  • High level of communication and coordination with a local team and teammates across the company.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks independently, and respect project schedules.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Ability to work in a high-velocity environment managing multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and workmanship quality.
  • Knowledge of engineering drawing and design standards and practices.
  • Strong desire for continuous learning and professional education.
  • Preference given to local candidates
