Job DescriptionAs a Senior Technical Sales Representative at Honeywell, you will drive growth for our industrial sensor and electronic-component portfolio across OEM, manufacturing, and industrial customers.
This position requires a strong technical-sales background specifically within industrial sensors, electronic components, electromechanical components, or closely related industrial automation components.
You will combine technical product knowledge with consultative selling skills, territory development experience, and the ability to engage OEMs, engineers, manufacturers, distributors, and technical decision-makers.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities- Develop and grow sales of industrial sensors, electronic components, and related technical solutions across the assigned territory.
- Build relationships with OEMs, manufacturers, engineering teams, system integrators, distributors, and other industrial customers.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand existing accounts through proactive territory development.
- Work directly with customer engineering, purchasing, operations, and technical teams to understand applications and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
- Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting and technical discovery through quotation, negotiation, closing, and account development.
- Develop and maintain a strong opportunity pipeline and accurate sales forecasts.
- Coordinate with internal product, application-engineering, marketing, and channel teams to support customer requirements.
- Develop distributor and channel relationships to increase market penetration.
- Travel regularly throughout the territory to support customers, distributors, and new-business development activities.
QualificationsYOU MUST HAVE- 3-5+ years of direct technical sales, territory sales, account management, or business-development experience selling industrial sensors, electronic components, electromechanical components, or industrial automation components.
- Demonstrated experience selling industrial sensors, photoelectric/proximity sensors, encoders, safety sensors, machine-vision products, connectors/interconnect products, active/passive electronic components, electromechanical components, or comparable industrial automation/electronics products.
- Experience selling directly to OEMs, manufacturers, engineering organizations, or industrial customers and/or through specialized electronics or automation distribution channels.
- Demonstrated success developing and managing a geographic sales territory.
- Ability to understand customer applications and communicate technical product value to engineers and technical decision-makers.
- Experience managing the full B2B sales cycle, including prospecting, account development, pipeline management, negotiation, and closing.
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50%, including regular vehicle travel throughout the Southeast.
- Ability to be based within reasonable proximity to the territory, with Atlanta strongly preferred and North Carolina/South Carolina considered secondary locations.

- Existing relationships with OEM, industrial-manufacturing, machine-builder, or automation customers.
- Experience selling through both direct and distribution/channel models.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform.
- Technical degree or equivalent experience working with engineering-driven products and customers.
- Demonstrated history of achieving or exceeding territory sales targets.
The salary range for this position is $168,000-$211,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
