Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required; preferably from an ABET Accredited Institution.
• Specialization in chemical engineering or Fire Protection & Safety Engineering preferred.
• Professional Engineering Certification preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with industry codes (API, etc.) and Process Safety Regulations is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, including public speaking to groups.
• Proven leadership abilities to guide teams in decision-making and problem-solving processes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high quality of Technical Safety deliverables.
• Oversee task delegation within the team as needed.
• Conduct and participate in audits when required.
• Verify that designs adhere to Technical Safety standards.
• Facilitate and coordinate HAZOP, HAZID, and SIL studies and workshops.
• Review and manage 3rd party safety studies such as QRA, FERA, EERA.
• Execute Fire Protection and Engineering Design tasks, including hydraulic modeling and fire water demand calculations.
