Senior Technical Implementation Specialist

Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Senior Technical Implementation Specialist to lead enterprise customers through the onboarding, integration, configuration, and successful deployment of VoPay's embedded finance and payment orchestration platform.

This is a critical pre and post-sales delivery role focused on driving seamless customer implementations across API integrations, payment workflows, treasury orchestration, compliance enablement, and operational readiness. The ideal candidate combines strong technical acumen with exceptional project coordination and customer-facing communication skills.

You will partner closely with customers' Product, Engineering, Operations teams while collaborating internally with Product, Engineering, Risk, Customer Success, and Support to ensure successful go-lives and long-term platform adoption.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Implementation & Onboarding
  • Lead end-to-end customer onboarding and implementation projects from kickoff through production go-live.
  • Act as the primary implementation lead and trusted advisor throughout the deployment lifecycle.
  • Guide customers through the integration of VoPay's APIs, embedded UI components, and payment orchestration capabilities.
  • Support the configuration and deployment of:
  • Payment workflows
  • Payment processing
  • Wallets and virtual accounts
  • Ledger structures
  • Reconciliation workflows
  • Drive implementation timelines, onboarding milestones, and launch readiness activities.


Technical Integration & Solution Delivery
  • Partner directly with customer engineering and product teams to support API integrations and technical onboarding.
  • Review and troubleshoot:
  • API requests and responses
  • Webhooks and callbacks
  • Authentication and token flows
  • Payment routing logic
  • Data mapping and reconciliation processes
  • System-to-system integrations
  • Provide technical guidance and best practices related to:
  • RESTful APIs
  • Postman collections
  • Embedded finance workflows
  • Payment processing
  • Payouts and collections
  • Card and banking integrations
  • Financial operations workflows
  • Escalate and coordinate technical issues with internal Engineering and Product teams when required.
  • Support customers through testing, UAT validation, sandbox readiness, and production deployment.


Project Management & Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Manage multiple and concurrent implementation projects with strong organization, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Establish clear project plans, milestones, launch checklists, and customer communication cadences.
  • Coordinate cross-functional alignment across Product, Engineering, Compliance, Risk, Finance, Support, and Customer Success teams.
  • Identify project risks, integration blockers, or operational gaps early and proactively drive resolution.
  • Maintain accurate implementation documentation, project notes, and launch records within internal systems.


Customer Training & Enablement
  • Deliver onboarding and training sessions for customer stakeholders, including:
  • Portal administration
  • API workflows
  • Reporting and reconciliation tools
  • Create and maintain implementation documentation, SOPs, onboarding guides, workflows, and customer readiness materials.
  • Enable customers to confidently operate and scale their payment and embedded finance workflows post-launch.


Post-Launch Transition & Ongoing Success
  • Ensure smooth transition of live accounts to Customer Success and Support teams.
  • Document implementation architecture, custom configurations, launch decisions, and operational considerations for long-term account support.
  • Participate in post-launch reviews to identify optimization opportunities and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute implementation feedback and customer insights to Product and Engineering teams to improve platform scalability and customer experience.


Experience & Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting fintech, payments, banking, treasury, or compliance-related workflows is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with payment ecosystems including EFT, ACH, Interac, payouts, reconciliation, ledgering
  • Strong customer-facing communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple implementation projects simultaneously in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Comfortable leading customer implementation calls, technical workshops, and onboarding sessions.
  • Experience working within SaaS, fintech, payment processing, or platform-based technology organizations preferred.


Compensation

$80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
