The Technical Business Analyst is responsible for collaborating with product, engineering, operations, compliance, trading, and vendor teams to define requirements, document workflows, support testing, and deliver reliable technology solutions. The Senior Technical Business Analyst is expected to serve as a subject matter expert and provide deep functional and technical expertise across core applications, business processes, and operational domains. The role may include coaching, training, and supervisory responsibilities as needed, along with leading department-level, cross-vertical initiatives. This position may operate within a dual-reporting model, partnering with both technology leadership and business unit or functional management.

The Technical Business Analyst works closely with application development teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and control partners to define and validate business requirements, document workflows, produce functional specifications, support testing, and deliver reliable technology solutions. The Senior Technical Business Analyst operates independently to ensure analysis, specifications, test cases, implementation deliverables, and technical deployment runbooks are clearly documented, executed, and aligned with business objectives, production readiness standards, and modern delivery practices.
Analysis Functions
• Translate business and functional requirements into clear functional specifications that support integration with existing systems, platforms, and operational workflows.
• Anticipate stakeholder needs by developing a clear understanding of business objectives, operational requirements, and desired outcomes.
• Identify, assess, and communicate risks, dependencies, and downstream impacts when evaluating solution options.
• Consistently keep the big picture in mind by considering how individual tasks affect project outcomes while ensuring details are complete.
• Partner with business and technology project leads to define project tasks, estimates, dependencies, and work plans that support successful delivery.
Implementation Functions
• Manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously while maintaining delivery quality, clear priorities, and timely execution.
• Analyze data requirements, process flows, business rules, and system impacts, and document practical solution options.
• Facilitate specification review sessions with business stakeholders across operations, compliance, trading, and related functions to confirm requirements and translate them into clear written specifications.
• Prepare impact analysis reports and provide estimates for change requests.
• Work with project managers and delivery leads to define tasks, estimates, dependencies, and execution plans, or independently maintain work plans needed to support project delivery.
• Create and maintain accurate project documentation, including analysis deliverables, requirements, specifications, test documentation, implementation notes, and supporting artifacts.
• Communicate project status, risks, decisions, and next steps clearly across stakeholder groups.
• Continuously assess deliverable progress against stated timelines and proactively raise concerns when appropriate.
• Support user training, adoption, and issue resolution while mentoring less experienced team members as needed.
• Serve as a liaison across business, technology, vendor, and control teams to align requirements, decisions, delivery activities, and issue resolution.
Testing Functions
• Define and coordinate the user acceptance testing process, including review cycles, stakeholder communication, feedback tracking, and sign-off support.
• Create functional and integration test cases to support Jennison's in-house and proprietary applications.
• Coordinate and execute application and user testing efforts.
• Develop and maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, defects, and acceptance criteria to confirm test coverage.
• Develop comprehensive test plans, execute testing, support defect resolution, and assist users with system navigation and data workflow validation during user acceptance testing.
• Partner with business stakeholders and application teams to define test environment availability, data needs, scheduling constraints, and readiness requirements.
Production Support and Continuous Improvement Functions
• Identify and document process gaps, control weaknesses, system inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities, and recommend practical solutions.
• Own assigned deliverables and provide clear status updates on completed work, active priorities, planned tasks, risks, blockers, and dependencies across projects.
• Collaborate with internal development teams and vendor partners to assess, prioritize, and deliver system enhancements across supported platforms.
- Support production issues by analyzing data, assessing application behavior, determining business impact, coordinating resolution activities, and providing guidance across supported applications and business domains.
-Support escalation protocols, contingency procedures, and recovery plans for sensitive or business-critical processes to enable timely response and issue resolution.
Communication
• Communicate relevant project information clearly to a variety of stakeholder audiences.
• Provide user support, training, and knowledge transfer as needed, and mentor less experienced team members.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, communicate effectively and confidently with users, team members, and management, and escalate issues appropriately.
• Communicate complex technical and business information clearly, tailoring messages to support understanding, decision-making, and alignment across large or complex initiatives.

• May require occasional after-hours or weekend support for production issues, critical releases, or time-sensitive business needs.
• Anticipate stakeholder needs by understanding business priorities, operational requirements, constraints, and expected outcomes.
• Adhere to the firm's mandatory hybrid work model, which requires in-person attendance at the primary office location on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays to support collaboration, mentorship and team development. Remote work is permitted on Mondays and Fridays.
Your Required Skills / Job Requirements & Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant financial industry certification preferred.
• Extensive business analysis experience in asset management, investment operations, financial services technology, or a related field.
• Strong experience with investment accounting, operations workflows, data flows, controls, and production support processes.
• Experience with Eagle Accounting and Security Master systems.
• Experience with SQL and/or navigating databases using query tools is required.
• Experience with business process reengineering.
• Experience managing technical resources.
• Experience implementing or enhancing investment technology platforms, including order management, investment accounting, regulatory, compliance, or related operational systems.
• Experience producing clear, well-organized requirements, functional specifications, workflow documentation, test cases, and implementation support materials.
• Experience using approved AI tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, to support business analysis, meeting notes, requirements drafting, documentation, data review, and process improvement.
• Ability to review and validate AI-assisted work against source documents, data, and business input before sharing or using it for decisions.
• Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience writing and executing test plans.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and shift priorities as needed.
• Comfortable working directly with business stakeholders to address production issues and complete project-related work.
• Strong understanding of modern delivery practices, including Agile, SDLC, requirements management, testing, release coordination, production readiness, and post-implementation support.

The base salary range for this role is $200,000 - $225,000. Individual salaries for this role may vary based on various factors including but not limited to, years of experience, range in corporate level, candidate skills, and geographic location. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including but not limited to, individual and organizational performance.
