The EA SPORTS FC Art team is a global community of content creators, fueled by imagination and a unified passion to grow the love of sports for players worldwide through inspiring visuals and immersive experiences. We push visual boundaries and create leading edge content across multiple disciplines. This team works onsite in our Burnaby office 3 days/week.
Your Responsibilities
The Senior Technical Artist (Sr. TA) develops pipelines, workflows, and technological innovations used by content creators from the FC team. Reporting to our Director of Technical Art, they partner with development teams to build shared and scalable solutions. The main areas of responsibilities include development of in-game content workflows, asset optimization/integration at runtime, and having the capability to take on ownership of one or a few domains in game development. Sr. TAs are expected to assume ownership over any technical issues that arise on their projects and bring them to resolution.
You can be from an Art, Design, Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science background; however, you must demonstrate a comfort level in working with both art and science.
Your Qualifications:
• At least 6+ years of games production experience.
• Experience with game engines such as Unreal and blueprints.
• Experience with content related optimization techniques in games.
• A bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in a related field.
• Effective at communicating and working with different audiences: artists, engineers, managers.
• Proficient scripting/programming language such as Python or C#. (C++ is a bonus, but is not required).
• A solutions-provider, especially as it pertains to testing and debugging technical issues.
• A willingness to jump into the unknown and solve new problems to resolve technical challenges and limitations.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$141,400 - $204,400 CAD
Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.
For Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
