Senior Tax Manager - International

Dalio Family Office

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Tax Manager who has significant experience with international entities specifically in the UAE and Singapore. These entities encompass investment entities, operating businesses, as well as philanthropic entities and have both foreign and US filings. An ideal candidate will have experience with the UAE and/or Singapore tax compliance, IFRS experience, experience with multi-country filings and with cross-border matters.

Day-to-day responsibilities would include a combination of the following:
  • Manage the overall tax compliance process for a portfolio of entities spanning across the UAE and Singapore ensuring timely and accurate filings.
  • Ownership of tax impact decision making for IFRS, Global Mobility, and Transfer Pricing in conjunction with the Tax Pillar Head.
  • Review US and foreign tax returns and the related workpapers for these entities prepared by our third-party service providers.
  • Manage relationships with external tax advisors both in these foreign countries and any associated advisors in the US.
  • Resolve complex technical tax issues, consult with experts, prepare memoranda, and communicate research findings to senior management in a well-synthesized manner.
  • Review of potential non-US and US tax consequences of the entity's activities and its proposed structure.
  • Manage tax audits for these entities and responses to taxing authority inquiries and notices.
  • Work with the Finance & Accounting Pillar to be a resource for tax planning and implementation.
  • Lead or participate in other cross-functional projects providing leadership toward additional value-added activities in addition to supporting operational and departmental excellence, while fostering teamwork between all functions.
  • Be the primary liaison with others (both internal DFO members and external advisors) for all tax matters related to the portfolio of entities.
  • Provision and determine estimated and actual tax payments and engage with Finance Pillar on payment executions

  • Investment product knowledge
  • Extensive experience (at least 7 years) preparing and reviewing foreign entity tax returns, including operating businesses, investment entities, and philanthropic entities with both foreign and US filings.
  • Preferred experience with private equity funds.
  • 5+ years of process and people management experience with oversight of tax compliance process, including resource allocation and budgeting.


Compensation:

Compensation for the role includes a competitive salary in the range of $400,000-$475,000 (inclusive of a merit-based bonus, dependent on years of experience, level of education obtained, as well as applicable skillset) and an excellent benefits package, including a comprehensive employer-paid medical plan and generous employer match for 401k.
