Full Job Description
Benevity is seeking a dynamic Senior Tax Analyst to join our high-growth Global Tax team for a defined-term maternity leave cover. This isn't just a backfill; it's a high-impact opportunity to immerse yourself in the fast-paced SaaS industry.

What you'll do:

Tax Compliance:
  • Lead the preparation and execution of Canadian corporate tax filings, serving as the primary authority on compliance across Canada, the US, and Europe.
  • Manage the international compliance strategy by coordinating US and European corporate tax filings with precision and autonomy.
  • Take ownership of the transfer pricing lifecycle, from methodology execution to monthly reporting and calculations.
  • Serve as a technical advisor for charitable foundation groups, supporting tax compliance and providing technical guidance.
  • Manage the end-to-end indirect tax compliance cycle to ensure global accuracy:
    • Execute and finalize US sales tax filings utilizing Avalara;
    • Coordinate with the Procure-to-Pay team to assist with, review, and finalize Canadian sales tax filings;
    • Oversee the timely preparation and finalization of international VAT filings in partnership with external service providers.


Tax Reporting:
  • Architect the consolidated tax provision process in accordance with ASC 740 US GAAP, ensuring strategic alignment with global financial goals.
  • Lead high-level advisory with Treasury, Accounting, and Financial Reporting teams to safeguard the integrity of tax disclosures and deferred tax strategies.
  • Own corporate reporting outputs, providing actionable insights that inform Tax Leadership.


Tax Research:
  • Conduct research into complex tax issues to support compliance, reporting, and planning solutions within the SaaS ecosystem.
  • Design and deliver expert-led training programs that elevate the tax literacy and operational efficiency of key business units.
  • Proactively interpret and capitalize on new legislation in Canada and international jurisdictions to optimize Benevity's tax position.
  • Act as the definitive subject matter expert for internal finance and operations teams, solving critical tax challenges autonomously.


Strategic Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Product teams to embed tax expertise into core business initiatives.
  • Drive special projects and high-impact tax initiatives that contribute to the rapid growth and scale of our global operations.
