Position Description: CGI is looking for a Senior Talent Acquisition Business Partner - IT to join our team. We are seeking an experienced, proactive and business-oriented professional who can act as a trusted partner to hiring managers and business leaders across our business units.
Beyond managing the full recruitment cycle, you will play a key role in developing our talent acquisition strategies. You will be expected to understand business priorities, anticipate future talent and skill requirements, and recommend recruitment strategies aligned with the realities of the IT talent market.
You will also be responsible for building trusted relationships with internal stakeholders, advising them on talent market trends, and supporting them in making informed hiring decisions.
We are looking for someone who combines a strong client-service mindset, extensive knowledge of IT recruitment, the ability to develop effective sourcing strategies, and a high level of discipline in following processes and maintaining accurate recruitment data.
Your future duties and responsibilities: -Act as a strategic talent acquisition partner to hiring managers and business leaders, developing a strong understanding of their priorities, operational challenges, and current and future talent needs.
-Anticipate recruitment needs by maintaining a deep understanding of the business, upcoming projects, critical skill requirements, and the evolution of the teams you support.
-Develop, recommend and implement talent acquisition strategies aligned with business needs, talent availability in the market, and the specific challenges of each business area.
-Advise hiring managers on the IT talent market, skill availability, attraction strategies, target profiles, and the most effective approaches to achieve successful hiring outcomes.
-Build strong and lasting relationships with hiring managers and maintain regular, structured and proactive communication regarding recruitment needs and priorities.
-Manage the full recruitment cycle, from defining the hiring need through to hire, including sourcing, headhunting, screening, interviewing, candidate recommendations and offer follow-up.
-Conduct proactive talent sourcing and direct outreach to identify and engage passive, specialized and hard-to-find IT professionals.
-Develop creative and targeted sourcing strategies using a variety of channels, including professional networks, social media, events, specialized communities and employee referral programs.
-Proactively build and maintain talent pipelines for strategic and recurring skill sets to reduce time to hire and better support future business needs.
-Analyze recruitment results and trends to identify challenges, recommend actions and adjust strategies as needed.
-Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and projects within the Talent Acquisition team, recommending solutions to enhance efficiency, quality and the overall recruitment experience.
-Participate in the planning and coordination of talent attraction initiatives and recruitment events in the Montreal or Quebec City region.
-Deliver a high-quality candidate experience through proactive, transparent and personalized communication throughout the recruitment process.
-Maintain strong operational discipline by ensuring recruitment data is accurate and up to date in applicant tracking systems (ATS).
-Ensure compliance with recruitment processes, policies, standards and requirements while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
-Represent CGI professionally with candidates, partners and talent communities.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: -Minimum of 8 years of talent acquisition experience, including significant experience recruiting technology professionals.
-Demonstrated experience managing the full recruitment cycle while handling multiple mandates and priorities simultaneously.
-Experience in a Talent Acquisition Business Partner role, with a demonstrated ability to advise, influence and support hiring managers and business leaders.
-Strong understanding of IT talent market trends and challenges, as well as key technology skill areas.
-Ability to quickly understand business challenges and translate them into actionable talent acquisition strategies.
-Strong ability to anticipate future hiring needs and proactively develop talent pipelines before positions are formally opened.
-Excellent stakeholder and client relationship management skills, with the ability to quickly establish trust and communicate effectively with various levels of management.
-Proven expertise in headhunting, direct sourcing and recruiting specialized or hard-to-fill profiles.
-Strong command of advanced sourcing techniques, professional networks and modern talent acquisition tools.
-High level of rigor in recruitment follow-up, data management and adherence to established processes.
-Ability to work autonomously, take ownership of recruitment mandates and maintain consistent follow-up with stakeholders.
-Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
-Analytical mindset, results orientation and ability to leverage recruitment data and market trends to support recommendations.
-Strong collaboration skills and commitment to contributing to the teams collective objectives.
-Excellent communication skills in both French and English. Bilingualism is required due to regular interactions with partners, candidates and teams across Canada.
