Senior Systems EngineerOASYS, INC., a Leading-Edge Government contractor in Huntsville Alabama, is seeking applicants for a Senior Systems Engineer position supporting our US Army customer.
Job Responsibilities include: The Senior Systems Engineer will apply strong analytical skills throughout the entire system lifecycle within an Agile development framework. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping requirements, producing technical documentation, and coordinating cross-disciplinary integration to ensure program success.
- Systems Engineering & Analysis: Perform full-spectrum systems engineering tasks for Precision Fires programs, using critical reasoning to tackle intricate system-of-systems challenges.
- Requirements Management: Create, evaluate, and maintain both new and existing system requirements across the complete software development lifecycle.
- Hands-On DOORS Administration: Independently use IBM DOORS (9.7.x) to manage requirement data, including building traceability, generating module content, and producing Requirement Verification Matrices (RVMs) without dependency on a dedicated administrator.
- Agile Collaboration: Actively engage within an Agile setting by participating in routine scrum sessions and using Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO) for tracking and supporting requirements.
- Cross-Functional Integration: Align and coordinate system requirements with key partner disciplines, including Software Safety, Test, and Cybersecurity.
- Technical Documentation: Write, evaluate, and update clear and accurate technical documents and specifications.
Minimum Requirements: - 9+ years' of work experience
- Strong background supporting systems engineering across the complete software development lifecycle.
- A solid understanding of, or direct experience working with, systems engineering throughout the Army Acquisition Life Cycle is considered a very strong plus.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with IBM DOORS (9.7.x) for active data and requirement management.
- Experience using Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO) for requirements support is highly desired.
- Proven ability to analyze complex requirements and understand their cascading impacts on software testing, system safety, and cyber defense protocols.
Required Education: A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (STEM, computer science, or computer engineering, etc.) is required. Advanced degree preferred.
Eligibility: Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance. An Active Secret Clearance is highly desired.
