Full Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Director of IT Infrastructure, the Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the firm's server systems, data storage, and network applications. These responsibilities include but are not limited to; the daily maintenance of our server systems, storage systems, backup systems, server and network monitoring and management, back-office applications, remote access systems, system disaster recovery, and general systems administration and support. When requested, the Sr. Systems Administrator assists other internal IT departments providing technical support for the firm's technical environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Assumes primary responsibility for overall Windows Server administration, including patch management and after-hours maintenance, as necessary.
  • Maintains the integrity, security, stability, and performance of the firm's remote environment. This responsibility will involve periodic travel to our offices in New York City and Washington D.C.
  • Maintains the security & integrity of the firm's server and desktop systems.
  • Provides secure Certificate creation and implementation.
  • Provides oversight of the firm's backup infrastructure.
  • Provides server environment monitoring and issue resolution.
  • Assists the M365 Administrator with Entra related support including MFA and federated services.
  • Provides off-hour 'On-Call' support ensuring system uptime.
  • Documents the existing system functions.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Information System or related area of study.
  • Ten (10+) years technical experience, building and supporting Windows Server operating systems, creating and modifying Powershell scripts.
  • Seven (7+) years Windows Client OS & Windows Server administration.
  • Five (5+) years Active Directory & Group Policy administration, and server administration.
  • Five (5+) years VMware vCenter and ESXi administration.
  • Experience with Veeam Backup and Replication.
  • Experience with Security Frameworks (i.e. SOC 2, ISO 27001).
  • Microsoft certifications strongly preferred (e.g MS Certified Windows Sever Administrator).
  • Familiarity with Manage Engine PAM360 and Endpoint Central.
  • Familiarity with Azure IaaS/Hybrid set up and management
  • Familiarity with basic operation and configuration of Switches/Routers/Firewalls.
  • Familiarity with Terminal Services administration.
  • iManage or similar document management system experience preferred.
  • Strong time management, prioritization, problem-solving, and organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
  • Flexibility and capacity to respond calmly, efficiently, and effectively in stressful situations.
  • Punctual and reliable and able to meet set deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of matters and other firm business information.
