Key Responsibilities:System Administration:
- Manage and maintain our servers, storage systems, and virtualization platforms to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve technical problems in a timely manner.
- Implement backup and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard critical data.
Network Management:
- Administer and configure our local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) to ensure seamless connectivity for users and devices.
- Monitor network traffic and security, implement firewalls, and enforce network policies to protect against cyber threats.
Security and Compliance:
- Develop and enforce security protocols, including access controls, data encryption, and vulnerability assessments.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards.
User Support and Training:
- Provide technical support to end-users, addressing their hardware and software-related inquiries.
- Conduct training sessions and create documentation to empower employees to effectively use technology resources.
IT Infrastructure Planning:
- Collaborate with management to plan and execute technology upgrades and expansion projects.
- Assess the organization's future technology needs and propose scalable solutions.
Automation and Optimization:
- Identify opportunities for process automation to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Optimize system performance and resource utilization to enhance overall productivity.
Must have Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as a Systems Administrator or a similar role, with at least 10 years of experience.
- In-depth knowledge of server administration, network protocols, and IT security principles.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Familiarity with storage systems, backup solutions, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with team members and end-users.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, MCSA, or CCNA will be a plus.
