Job Title: Senior Supply Chain Manager

Location: St. Charles

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Supply Chain Manager to lead our end-to-end supply chain operations, spanning procurement, transportation, and production planning across multiple sites. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in cost reduction, network optimization, and leveraging WMS/TMS/OMS technologies to drive efficiency. This role involves both high-level strategic planning and hands-on operational management to ensure optimal inventory levels and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing

  • Negotiate procurement contracts: Lead complex negotiations for raw materials and indirect spend to secure favorable terms, pricing, and quality.
  • Conduct RFPs: Manage the entire Request for Proposal (RFP) process, from supplier selection to contract award, ensuring competitive bidding and alignment with business goals.
  • Increase supplier pool: Develop and execute strategies to diversify and expand the supplier base, mitigating risk and ensuring supply continuity.
  • Sourcing Work: Manage both long-term strategic sourcing initiatives and short-term operational sourcing needs.

Logistics & Transportation

  • Execute network footprint analysis: Analyze and optimize the distribution network (warehouses, 3PLs) to reduce costs and improve service levels.
  • Coordinate efficient truck routes: Oversee transportation planning to optimize routing for LTL, TL, and dedicated fleets, reducing transit times and logistics costs.
  • Manage transportation spend: Monitor, analyze, and control freight expenditures to achieve significant cost savings.

Operational Planning & Performance

  • Production planning expertise: Develop Master Production Schedules (MPS) and inventory strategies to meet demand while optimizing resource utilization.
  • Supplier management: Drive performance improvements through KPIs, scorecarding, and quarterly business reviews with key suppliers.
  • Cost savings initiatives: Proactively identify and execute cost reduction and avoidance programs across the supply chain.
  • Manage KPIs: Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost, delivery, and inventory accuracy to ensure business goals are met.

Systems & Communication

  • Manage WMS/TMS/OMS integrations: Oversee the implementation and optimization of Warehouse Management (WMS), Transportation Management (TMS), and Order Management Systems (OMS).
  • Communication to management: Provide regular, comprehensive updates to executive management regarding supply chain performance, risks, and strategic initiatives.
  • Multi-site management experience: Ensure standardized, efficient processes across multiple distribution centers or manufacturing facilities.

Qualifications
