DescriptionWESTON is seeking a
mid-level Structural Project Engineer (PE) to support a diverse portfolio of commercial, state, and federal projects. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who can
execute structural design work independently, partner with senior engineers, and deliver high-quality, code-compliant solutions across a variety of structures. The Structural Project Engineer will provide support on nationwide projects by performing technical report writing; analyzing existing infrastructures to include development of Preliminary Engineering Reports (PERs); field investigations/site reconnaissance; data collection; utility coordination; engineering cost estimating and analysis; structural design calculations; engineering specification review and preparation of contract documents for construction; bid and award services; and construction phase engineering services.

Expected Outcomes:
- Execute structural design and analysis with a high degree of independence, delivering accurate, well-documented calculations and technical reports.
- Support project execution by developing scopes of work, cost estimates, and design deliverables from concept through construction
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (geotechnical, mechanical, electrical, surveying) to ensure coordinated, constructible designs
- Maintain quality and consistency by coordinating with internal QA/QC reviewers and external partners
- Conduct site visits and field investigations to support design development and client engagement
Knowledge/Skills & Abilities:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (structural focus preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required; ability to obtain additional state licensure as needed
- 4-12 years of structural engineering experience, including independent design execution
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design tools (e.g., RAM or similar); AutoCAD experience preferred
- Experience designing structural systems including concrete, steel, foundations, and related elements
- Familiarity with applicable codes and standards; exposure to federal design criteria (e.g., UFC, UFGS) preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to produce clear, well-organized technical documentation
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with limited oversight
- Willingness to travel 10-20% for site visits and project support
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to obtain and maintain a security clearance for work at certain federal facilities.

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
Salary Range: $81,549 - $107,791 - $133,824
