Full Job Description
Position Purpose

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join as Senior Specialist, PR & Communications. This individual will collaborate with Commercial & Payments business leaders, executives, subject matter experts, spokespeople and marketing teams to deliver clear, consistent and compelling messaging and stories with the media and across key communications channels.

The role will create, drive and implement communications strategies supporting StoneX's Commercial & Payments businesses, develop strong relationships across a diverse and specialized business, manage relationships with tier 1 media, financial, trade and commodity media, and drive performance against strategic goals — including brand awareness, executive and subject-matter-expert visibility through media coverage, thought leadership, events and presentations, employee advocacy and additional marketing initiatives.

The position will play an important role in translating StoneX's Commercial & Payments capabilities — spanning commodities, foreign exchange, risk management and cross-border payments — into differentiated external narratives. Working closely with Commercial & Payments marketing leads, business development and business stakeholders, the role will connect communications activity to commercial priorities, market positioning, client themes and growth initiatives across the Commercial & Payments platform.

Global alignment is a core expectation of the role. The Commercial & Payments PR & Communications Manager will work closely with the UK and APAC PR & Communications Managers and the Global Brand team to ensure Commercial & Payments messaging, media strategy, executive positioning and thought leadership are coordinated across regions and consistently reinforce StoneX's global Commercial & Payments narrative.

Responsibilities

Primary duties will include

  • Manage and execute strategic communications for StoneX's Commercial & Payments businesses, aligned with communications, marketing and business objectives.
  • Develop strong working relationships with Commercial & Payments business leaders, sales and risk management teams, commodity and FX specialists, payments product teams and other subject-matter experts to identify timely and differentiated communications opportunities.
  • Develop and manage relationships between tier 1 media, financial, trade and commodity media and StoneX representatives.
  • Proactively pitch StoneX businesses, executives, brokers/traders, analysts and market experts for commentary, thought leadership and other relevant opportunities for exposure.
  • Identify opportunities to elevate StoneX's commodity, foreign exchange, risk management and payments expertise around relevant market developments, trends, products and client themes.
  • Draft press materials, talking points, executive op-eds, thought-leadership content and marketing communications.
  • Train and support StoneX representatives for various media formats, including interviews, panels, broadcast appearances and other external engagements.
  • Partner with Marketing and business stakeholders to connect media relations and thought leadership with broader Commercial & Payments initiatives, including events, digital content, campaigns and client-facing programs.
  • Support communications surrounding significant business developments, including new capabilities, product launches, strategic hires, geographic expansion, partnerships and other Commercial & Payments growth initiatives.
  • Provide crisis and issues management support to Commercial & Payments and global leadership.
  • Oversee media monitoring to track relevant market and business coverage and guide strategy based on positive and negative media trends.
  • Develop strong relationships across the Commercial & Payments ecosystem, with Commercial & Payments Business Development as the primary strategic partner and Central Marketing as the second core partner, followed by Product, Legal, Compliance, HR, Online Reputation Management, Executive teams and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Work in tandem with Commercial & Payments Business Development to maintain connectivity across Commercial & Payments stakeholders, ensuring communications strategies and external positioning reflect the broader commercial strategy, business priorities and cross-platform opportunities being advanced across the Commercial & Payments organization.
  • Partner closely with Commercial & Payments Business Development and business stakeholders to understand commercial priorities, market positioning, client themes and growth initiatives, translating those priorities into relevant communications strategies and opportunities.
  • Coordinate closely with the UK and APAC PR & Communications Managers to align Commercial & Payments messaging, share market intelligence and media opportunities, coordinate cross-regional executive and SME visibility, and ensure locally relevant communications remain consistent with StoneX's global Commercial & Payments positioning.
  • Coordinate with other regional communications colleagues to identify opportunities to extend Commercial & Payments stories and subject-matter expertise across markets while maintaining alignment with global communications priorities.
  • Develop frameworks for Commercial & Payments communications strategies, including performance metrics, in alignment with communications leadership expectations and global frameworks.
  • Provide timely impact reports on Commercial & Payments communications strategies and activity.
  • Own measurable outcomes for Commercial & Payments communications performance, including media coverage volume and quality, share of voice vs. competitors, and executive/SME visibility, reporting results against defined KPIs and taking corrective action when targets are missed.
  • Be accountable for the accuracy, compliance and risk profile of all external-facing communications and media engagements for the segment, ensuring materials are vetted with Legal/Compliance and that reputational or regulatory risks are flagged and managed proactively.
  • Own end-to-end press release execution for the segment, including timing and scheduling, platform posting, distribution, performance metrics and amplification across owned and earned channels.
  • Other related communications duties as needed.
