I can succeed as a Senior Specialist on the New Investment Strategies & Capabilities team at Capital Group.
The New Investment Strategies & Capabilities team helps shape the future of Capital Group's investment offerings through research, product innovation, and strategy design. We combine input from clients, market and competitive insights, and investment expertise to evaluate emerging opportunities and develop new investment solutions that can be delivered across a range of investment vehicles. Working globally and across asset classes, we partner with investment, sales, client group, legal, and other cross-functional teams to assess and prioritize new ideas, build business cases, and guide initiatives from concept through strategy design and launch.
As a Senior Specialist on the team, you will evaluate new opportunities, conduct market and competitive research, and translate complex qualitative and quantitative information into clear recommendations for stakeholders and governance groups. You will also contribute to strategic roadmaps, business cases, and product design initiatives while leading small- to medium-scale projects and partnering with senior leaders on larger, more complex efforts.

- You have at least 5 years of experience in product strategy, product development, management consulting, investment research / management, corporate strategy, or a related field.
- You have strong investment acumen and a general understanding of investment vehicles, the asset management industry, and public and private markets.
- You can absorb complex qualitative and quantitative information, identify the most important insights, and translate them into clear, actionable recommendations for diverse audiences.
- You are a strong problem solver who approaches ambiguous situations with structure, sound judgment, and intellectual curiosity.
- You are comfortable working in environments where the path forward is not always clearly defined and can effectively navigate competing perspectives, incomplete information, and evolving priorities.
- You have exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- You have experience leading cross-functional initiatives and building productive relationships with diverse stakeholders to drive alignment and achieve outcomes.
- You are a skilled written and verbal communicator who can influence stakeholders, facilitate discussions, and confidently present recommendations to senior audiences.
Preferred, but not required:
- Experience developing business cases, strategic roadmaps, product plans, or go-to-market recommendations.
- Experience using investment research databases such as Morningstar, eVestment, and FactSet.
Southern California Base Salary Range: $125,909-$201,454
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
