THE IMPACT YOU WILL HAVE: As a QTS
Solutions Engineer for our Hyperscale sales team
, you will be the primary technical resource for sales and operations. You will determine customer requirements during the evaluation stage of the sales process and will provide technical solutions. You will answer both business and technical questions from customers while demonstrating the benefits of products and services. You will be the direct interface with internal teams in order to assemble and present technical, contractual, and service order information to our customers.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:- Design complex hosting solutions and corresponding services, working with sales personnel in response to customer needs with minimal supervision.
- Present advanced technical concepts in a clear manner to customers through demonstrations, technical review, and design/proposal presentations.
- Effectively communicate requirements to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with operational staff as it relates to initiatives that affect the Solutions Engineering Team.
- Respond to functional and technical elements of RFPs
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: - Four or more years of experience in Sales Engineering, preferably focused on managed services and custom designed solutions or applicable customer facing experience
- Two or more years of experience working in data center infrastructure (space, power, connectivity) or equivalent experience
- Experience in hyperscale colocation design is preferred
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- Excellent written and presentation communication skills with the capacity to articulate complex technical topics to varying customer audiences (administrators to executives)
