All roles at JumpCloud® are Remote unless otherwise specified in the Job Description.Role OverviewThe Senior Solutions Architect exists to guide enterprise customers through complex migrations from legacy identity and directory architectures to JumpCloud's Open Directory Platform. As enterprise customer engagements scale, this role addresses the critical need for dedicated domain subject matter experts (SMEs) across complex ecosystems involving cloud directory integrations, conditional access policies, MFA configurations, PAM, and multi-OS device management to drive structured, repeatable deployments. You will serve as the trusted technical authority bridging customer business requirements with robust architectural execution while establishing clear deployment milestones that drive platform adoption and time-to-value. By leading high-stakes enterprise engagements and contributing to Go-to-Market technical enablement, you will directly accelerate JumpCloud's enterprise retention, expansion, and customer delight.
What you'll be doing:- Purpose: Act as a high-impact technical advisor empowering global organizations to modernize identity management, consolidate disparate tooling, and establish secure access architectures via JumpCloud's Open Directory Platform.
- Growth: Establish and own org-wide Subject Matter Expertise across enterprise IAM, complex Microsoft ecosystems, and modern device management, while expanding leadership influence across GTM functions, architectural standards, and team enablement.
- Motivators: Exercise autonomous ownership over complex enterprise deployments, solve multi-faceted architectural challenges, and collaborate closely with cross-functional leaders in a high-growth, modern cloud identity company.
Major Performance Objectives:- Within the first 6 months, independently facilitate comprehensive discovery sessions and technical workshops for your assigned Professional Services engagements and related Projects, defining clear migration milestones and technical roadmaps while mitigating architectural scope gaps and mastering your knowledge of the JumpCloud platform.
- By Month 6, successfully execute hands-on technical deployments and directory cutovers (including Active Directory, Okta, and Google Workspace migrations) associated with your migration Projects. This will mark your first delivery of time-to-value and MVP metrics.
- Within 9 months, you will have completed your first projects and begun engaging more heavily with your Enterprise Projects. Success metrics are established, and your Enterprise Projects are on-track. You will be familiar with scoping, discovering, planning and executing across the entire JumpCloud customer lifecycle.
- Within and beyond 12 months, you will be managing ongoing high-complexity enterprise customer engagements in partnership with Customer Success counterparts, achieving target deployment milestones. You will be maintaining and improving your core metrics and contributing to your technical area of expertise in the form of technical documentation and guides, cross-departmental collaborations, and involvement in other go-to-market efforts and strategic technical conversations. You will begin using your knowledge to update internal processes and knowledge, and act as a mentor for newer team members.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:- Must-have functional skills:
- Enterprise identity architecture design and technical discovery facilitation for large-scale customer environments.
- Proven track record executing end-to-end directory migrations and integrations that enable automated JML functions.
- Deep technical implementation expertise in authentication and provisioning protocols (SAML 2.0, OIDC, SCIM, JIT, RADIUS).
- Multi-OS device management and policy deployment across Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android.
- Preferred domain knowledge:
- Advanced understanding of complex Microsoft enterprise ecosystems (Active Directory, Entra ID, Azure AD Connect, Intune, Microsoft 365, AVD).
- Enterprise identity governance, zero-trust security frameworks, and network authentication mechanisms (SSH, SMB/Samba, Kerberos).
- Professional Services delivery methodologies, structured customer engagement governance, and adoption tracking.
- Tools or systems knowledge:
- JumpCloud Admin Console or equivalent cloud identity and directory platforms.
- Identity and Directory Providers: Microsoft Active Directory, Okta, Entra ID, Google Workspace.
- Device Management / MDM: Microsoft Intune, Apple MDM (ABM/ASM), Jamf, Iru, ME, etc.
- Agentic tooling and effective LLM usage: Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, MCPs.
- Scripting and automation tools: PowerShell, Bash, and REST APIs.
- Behavioral or power skills:
- High-conviction technical communication with the ability to articulate complex architectural concepts clearly to both technical admins and executive stakeholders.
- Structured analytical problem-solving and rigorous time management across concurrent customer engagements.
- Proactive cross-functional partnership across Customer Success, Engineering, Sales, Support, and Product teams.
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate annual compensation range for this role, depending on individual candidate level and experience, is $125,000 - $175,000, including base salary and any related bonuses or commissions.

All roles posted in United States locations do require that you be located within one of the 50 U.S. States. Our Headquarters is in the Denver/Boulder, CO area but as a remote company, you are able to work remotely anywhere in the U.S. If you would like to spend time in our offices in the Denver/Boulder area, you are welcome to do that as well.
