The Role
We're hiring a Senior Software Engineer to own the cloud services that connect Trellix security appliances to the Trellix cloud: device registration, licensing, and content and update delivery. You'll be the technical owner for these services. That covers design and development, production support, compliance work for our FedRAMP-authorized environment, and our ongoing migration from AWS to GCP.
Key Responsibilities
- Service ownership: Own the design, development, and day-to-day operation of production cloud services used by Trellix appliances worldwide.
- Cloud engineering: Build, deploy, and scale distributed, multi-tenant services on AWS and GCP.
- Cloud migration: Lead the technical side of moving workloads to the cloud: map dependencies, plan cutovers, validate, and roll back if needed.
- Compliance: Act as technical point of contact for FedRAMP. Supply control evidence, fix findings, and keep changes within compliance boundaries.
- CI/CD and automation: Build and maintain automated pipelines for build, test, deployment, and infrastructure.
- Containers and Linux: Deploy, run, and debug containerized workloads on hardened Linux.
- Reliability and observability: Improve availability, fault tolerance, performance, and monitoring. Handle escalations and lead root-cause analysis.
- Collaboration: Work with SRE, Support, Order Operations, product management, and partner engineering teams to resolve issues and deliver features.
- Knowledge continuity: Write and maintain runbooks, design docs, and operational procedures so no single person holds critical knowledge.
