The Role
The Senior Software Engineer will be a hands-on technical expert responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering significant features within the Solutions Team. You will own end-to-end technical decisions for your features and systems, write high-quality code, conduct code reviews within your area of expertise, and mentor junior engineers as they grow their technical skills. This is a role for someone who excels at solving complex technical problems, takes pride in delivering well-engineered solutions, and helps elevate the capabilities of more junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve Solutions agents, workflows, services, components, and applications that deliver customer value and quality.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other engineers to deliver solutions that balance functionality, usability, security, and scalability.
- Develop and test code in short cycles with a high degree of automation.
- Conduct code reviews for features and systems within your scope, ensuring adherence to quality standards, security best practices, and architectural patterns.
- Identify and address technical debt in your systems; propose refactoring efforts to improve code quality, maintainability, and performance.
- Gather feedback from stakeholders and adapt your solutions accordingly.
- Design, document, and communicate high-level functional designs and solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers through code reviews, technical discussions, and problem-solving.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and bring forward ideas to continuously improve Solutions and its ecosystem.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- At least 1 year experience building production-grade AI agents and complex intelligent systems within the enterprise.
- Strong working knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG strategies, fine-tuning, and grounding techniques, along with practical experience using major AI agent orchestration frameworks.
- Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and scalability principles.
- Demonstrated ability to implement security best practices (e.g., authorization, data masking) and enforce responsible AI governance and guardrails in production systems.
- Ability to articulate complex technical designs and risks to stakeholders and non-technical partners.
- Able to work independently and manage your own priorities within a collaborative team environment.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality developer experiences and supporting others in building great software.
Desired Skills
- Experience working with frontend/UX.
- Familiarity with the OutSystems platform or similar low-code/no-code platforms, understanding their integration patterns and architecture limitations.
- Proficient in C# (.NET) and Python, cloud-native deployment, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and scalable APIs (REST/gRPC).
- Experience working in Financial, Manufacturing, Public Sector, or Healthcare sectors.
