Full Job Description

We’re hiring for a hybrid role. You’ll work on-site with your team several days each week (typically 2–3), with the specific days set by your manager. Because regular in-person collaboration is central to this job, we look for candidates who live within about 50 miles of the office.

About the role:

Everfox an immediate need for a Senior Software Engineer to enhance capabilities of cyber products for security-conscious government & commercial customers. The position willbe responsible fordeveloping & testing new product capabilities, software development/build tools, software test infrastructure & operational support for cross-domainproducts.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter, working in a cohesive team environment, willing to grow & learn using many software development & operational tools to test, debug & support software for secure Linux desktop environments, IT operations/enterprise management, IP networking/routing and remote/virtual desktop deployments. Utilize yourexpertisein legacy U.S. Government messaging systems to guide the requirement definition,designand implementation of secure message gateways.

Location:Richardson, TX On Site

Work Schedule: Full Time, Monday 6 Friday (standard work schedule with flexibility for mission critical requirements). This positionmayrequiresomeminimum travelas needed to meet customer and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate competency working hands-on in Linux based environments.
  • Develop newfeatures and extensions to existing products using a variety of languages including Rust, C, C++, Java, and proprietary languages.
  • Self-starterutilizingyour Linux and scriptingexpertisetointegratenew features and extensionsintocomplex products.
  • Leverage standard networking concepts to support the design and implementation of Cross Domaincapabilities.
  • Develop data inspection policies using proprietary and open-source programming languages.
  • Provide technical briefings to customers andEverfoxleadership asrequired.

Key Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Direct experience with Link16, JREAP-C, TADIL-J, USMTF, VMF and related standards and protocols.
  • BS Computer Science, Computer Engineer, Information Security or equivalent
  • 12+years experiencein software engineering, systemengineeringor related disciplines
  • Experiencewith software development in Linux environments using a variety of programming and scripting languages including Java, Python, Go, C/C++, and/or bash
  • Hands-on experience implementingTCP/IP networking & related protocols (such as HTTP, SSH, IPSEC, TLS/SSL,etc)
  • Robustunderstanding of private and public keys and or certificates
  • Experience with version control technologies such as Git
  • Red Hat Enterprise,Fedoraor Ubuntu Linux operating systems
  • Ability to obtain US Government Security Clearance if needed

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with security design and architecture of Cross Domain solutions (CDS)
  • Experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex,GeminiorOpenCode
  • Agile or Scrum development experience
  • Experience with deploying cloud technologies such as MS Azure or AWS
  • Development experience in a distributed,parallelor clustered processing environment
  • Experience with virtual desktop redisplay technologies such as RDP, Citrix Receiver or VMware Horizon View

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is:

$142,600.00-197,100.00 USD

The actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidates' unique experience, locale, and business needs. In addition to a base salary and bonus plans, Everfox offers a generous benefits package including flexible PTO, a 401k match, and contribution to healthcare coverages.
