Full Job Description
About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer at NeuroFlow, you build and maintain the full-stack features behind our behavioral health technology. Your team sets the goals and explains why they matter. From there, you work out what to build and how to build it, own the services in your team's domain, and help newer engineers grow along the way.

What You'll Do

  • Turn team goals into technical plans, then design and build full-stack features and services within your team's domain.
  • Choose the methods, tools, and evaluation criteria for your own work, and walk your team through the tradeoffs.
  • Spot technical risks and blockers early and propose fixes before they slow down delivery.
  • Own the prioritization of your assigned work and bring it to your manager for approval.
  • Contribute to architecture and design discussions for your team's services.
  • Work with product, QA, and adjacent engineering teams to ship features in your team's domain.
  • Mentor junior engineers through code review, pairing, and hands-on technical guidance.
  • Improve testing, tooling, and engineering practices on the services you own.

What You Should Have

  • Typically 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack web development.
  • Strong object-oriented programming skills in C#, solid TypeScript, and hands-on experience with .NET Framework or .NET 5+.
  • Proficiency with a modern front-end framework such as Angular, React, or Vue.
  • Experience building backend APIs and services with .NET Framework or .NET 5+.
  • Working experience with ORMs and relational databases (for example, nHibernate, Entity Framework, SQL Server).
  • Experience writing unit, integration, and UI automation tests.
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, whether running them in production or helping a team migrate to them.

Nice to have

  • Experience with cloud architectures on AWS or Azure.
  • Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 and FHIR.
  • Experience building integrations with EHRs.

Who You Are

  • An engineer who owns your work from design through production and enjoys helping newer engineers level up.
  • A clear communicator who can explain a technical decision to your team and stay open to other approaches.
  • Someone who gets satisfaction from taking a tangled piece of code and making it simpler to maintain.

Security Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship Required: Applicants must be U.S. citizens and able to obtain and maintain Public Trust security clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet all eligibility requirements.
  • NeuroFlow will support the clearance process. Obtaining clearance is required to remain in this position.
