Sr. Software Engineer, DevOps

As a Senior Software Engineer, DevOps at Conga, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and optimizing the cloud infrastructure and delivery capabilities that power our industry-leading revenue lifecycle management solutions. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and Operations teams to establish and advance modern Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices that enable teams to innovate rapidly while maintaining scalability, reliability, and security.

This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, and is passionate about automation, cloud technologies, and operational excellence. You will help build the foundation that enables Conga's engineering teams to deliver world-class software experiences for customers around the globe.

What you'll lead...

Continuous Integration & Delivery Excellence
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines that automate software build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase deployment efficiency, reliability, and developer productivity.
  • Partner with engineering teams to establish DevOps best practices across the software development lifecycle.
  • Champion automation-first approaches that reduce manual effort and improve operational consistency.

Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Engineering
  • Design and support highly available, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS and Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Optimize platform performance, cost efficiency, and operational resilience across production and non-production environments.
  • Partner with engineering teams to build and maintain cloud-native architectures that support growth and scale.

Containerization & Kubernetes Strategy
  • Design, deploy, and manage containerized workloads utilizing Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Establish deployment standards and operational best practices for Kubernetes-based environments.
  • Support container orchestration, monitoring, scaling, and lifecycle management initiatives.
  • Drive platform modernization efforts through the adoption of cloud-native technologies.

Security, Reliability & Operational Excellence
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure and application security best practices, including encryption, access controls, network security, and vulnerability management.
  • Design solutions that support fault tolerance, disaster recovery, and business continuity objectives.
  • Collaborate with teams to improve observability, monitoring, alerting, and incident response capabilities.
  • Proactively identify risks and implement solutions that improve system reliability and uptime.

Cross-Functional Engineering Partnership
  • Collaborate with software engineers, architects, and product teams to support scalable application development and deployment strategies.
  • Provide technical guidance on infrastructure architecture, cloud adoption, and operational best practices.
  • Participate in architectural reviews and contribute to long-term platform strategy discussions.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and engineering excellence.

Are you the person we're looking for?
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience architecting, building, and supporting highly scalable software and infrastructure solutions.
  • Proven experience deploying and managing production workloads within AWS and/or Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
  • Experience implementing and supporting Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practices within modern development organizations.
  • Demonstrated success designing solutions that deliver high availability, scalability, and reliability.

Technical Expertise
  • Strong understanding of microservices architectures and modern cloud-based application design principles, including SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, multi-tenancy, and distributed systems.
  • Deep knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Experience with container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, routers, and switches.
  • Familiarity with cloud and application security best practices.
  • Knowledge of modern software development technologies including .NET Core/.NET Framework, Java, and JavaScript.
  • Experience analyzing and solving complex technical challenges within large-scale distributed systems.
