As a Software Development Manager, you'll be instrumental in shaping the scope and direction of our technical initiatives. Tackle exciting challenges head-on, overseeing the development life cycle and ensuring seamless execution. Responsibilities- Lead, manage, and expand a team of 8-10 software developers.
- Drive project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and technical excellence.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to define and execute on the team's strategic goals.
- Provide technical guidance and make critical decisions to meet project milestones.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on technical leadership and/or people management experience of a team of at least 15 software developers.
- Proven experience managing software engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated success in delivering complex software projects on time and within budget.
- Strong expertise in software development methodologies and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Education or exposure to healthcare or life sciences, with emphasis on HL7 FHIR.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as GCP or AWS.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- Proven track record of building and leading high-performing development teams.

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is CAD $175,000 - $197,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
