Leveraging deep expertise in full-stack web architectures, REST APIs, cloud microservices, and modern Artificial Intelligence technologies-including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and agentic workflows-you will build end-to-end applications that feature robust human-in-the-loop review mechanisms, strict security access controls, and data pipelines. Location: Toronto, ON (Fully Onsite - 5 days/week required) Duration: 6-month contract. Responsibilities AI Application & Workflow Integration: Design, develop, test, and support full-stack AI-enabled applications, integrating AI agents, multi-step agentic workflows, LLM services, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks. Human-in-the-Loop Workflow Engine: Implement human-in-the-loop review, validation, and approval workflows that allow expert users to review, edit, approve, or reject AI-generated content with complete auditability and source traceability. Full-Stack Development & API Engineering: Build responsive front-end user interfaces (Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS) and robust backend services, developing RESTful APIs, application services, and middleware for document processing and workflow automation. Data Pipeline & Database Management: Design, implement, and maintain scalable data ingestion and ETL pipelines; construct relational database schemas, data models, and complex SQL queries. Cloud Architecture & DevOps Pipelines: Develop and deploy cloud services utilizing Azure platforms (such as Azure Functions, API Management, Logic Apps); design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment. Identity, Security & Privacy Enforcement: Architect solutions following security-by-design principles, implementing Entra ID (Azure AD), Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), role-based access controls (RBAC), audit logging, and privacy safeguards. Agile Delivery & Technical Collaboration: Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives), write unit/integration tests, perform code reviews, and author comprehensive technical design documentation. Qualifications AI & Agentic Workflow Engineering: Proven experience designing, developing, and integrating AI-powered applications, including LLMs, AI agents, agentic workflows, and document processing systems (Strictly Required). Full-Stack Web Development: Extensive hands-on experience in full-stack application development, API design, front-end frameworks (Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS), and relational database modeling/SQL (Strictly Required). Human-in-the-Loop Implementation: Demonstrated expertise implementing human-in-the-loop validation workflows allowing users to review, validate, and approve AI-generated outputs (Strictly Required). API & Workflow Automation: Proven track record developing REST APIs and backend application services that support document processing and automated workflows (Strictly Required). Cloud & DevOps Integration: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services (Azure Functions, Logic Apps, API Management), CI/CD build pipelines, and identity/security frameworks (Entra ID, SSO, MFA) (Strictly Required). Nice-to-Have Assets: Experience designing accessible applications compliant with web accessibility standards (AODA / WCAG 2.1 AA). Familiarity with source traceability, output validation, and audit logging frameworks for generative AI systems. Experience working within Agile/DevOps delivery teams using Azure DevOps or Jira.
