What You Will Do:As a Salesforce Technical Architect / Senior Technical Architect, you will serve as the technical authority and trusted advisor for large-scale Salesforce implementations supporting Federal and Public Sector clients. You will be responsible for leading solution architecture, technical strategy, and delivery oversight across complex digital transformation programs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serve as the lead Salesforce architect for enterprise-scale Public Sector engagements, providing strategic guidance on platform capabilities, architecture decisions, and implementation approaches.
- Partner with clients, business stakeholders, product owners, and delivery teams to define solution roadmaps that align business objectives with Salesforce platform capabilities.
- Lead architecture and solution design activities across Salesforce products including Public Sector Solutions, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Platform, OmniStudio, and custom applications.
- Develop scalable, secure, and maintainable architectures that incorporate data models, application design, integrations, identity management, and security controls.
- Provide technical leadership during proposal development, solutioning, discovery sessions, and client presentations to support business development and pre-sales activities.
- Define and document end-to-end solution architectures, technical specifications, integration patterns, and deployment strategies.
- Architect complex integrations between Salesforce and external systems leveraging APIs, middleware platforms, cloud services, and enterprise data sources.
- Review and approve technical designs, code quality, architecture deliverables, and implementation approaches across project teams.
- Establish architecture governance processes and ensure adherence to Salesforce and industry best practices.
- Work closely with Delivery Managers and project leadership to identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks, dependencies, and implementation challenges.
- Guide development teams through architectural decisions and provide technical troubleshooting support throughout project lifecycles.
- Mentor developers, administrators, consultants, and junior architects while fostering technical excellence across the organization.
- Evaluate emerging Salesforce capabilities, AI-driven solutions, and platform innovations to identify opportunities for increased business value and improved client outcomes.
- Present technical concepts, recommendations, and solution strategies to executive leadership, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
- Support program planning and technology strategy discussions while ensuring solutions remain scalable, extensible, and aligned with long-term business objectives.
- Travel may be required based on client and project needs.
What You Will Need:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 8+ years of experience designing and delivering enterprise technology solutions, with significant experience serving as a Salesforce Architect, Solution Architect, or Technical Architect.
- US Citizenship is contractually required for this role
- Selected candidate must be able to obtain security clearance
- Deep expertise in Salesforce architecture, including platform design, security architecture, data modeling, integration architecture, and application development.
- Experience leading complex Salesforce implementations for Federal, State, Local Government, or Public Sector organizations.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce platform capabilities, including Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Platform, Flow Automation, Apex, Lightning Framework, APIs, and DevOps methodologies.
- Proven experience designing enterprise integration solutions utilizing REST/SOAP APIs, middleware platforms, and data synchronization strategies.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce security architecture, role hierarchy, permission models, data protection, and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience facilitating architecture workshops, discovery sessions, and executive stakeholder meetings.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze, redesign, and optimize business processes through technology solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguous, high-visibility, and complex technical challenges.
- Experience leading distributed project teams and providing technical governance across multiple workstreams.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and effectively advocate for best practices, standards, and architectural decisions.
- Hands-on application design and development experience within enterprise environments.
What Would Be Nice To Have:- Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA), Application Architect, System Architect, or equivalent Salesforce certifications.
- Experience supporting Federal digital modernization and large-scale Public Sector transformation initiatives.
- Hands-on experience implementing Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS) / Agentforce Public Sector.
- Strong experience with OmniStudio, including FlexCards, OmniScripts, DataRaptors, and Integration Procedures.
- Experience designing solutions within FedRAMP, government cloud, or highly regulated environments.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or similar methodologies.
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools including Copado, Gearset, AutoRABIT, Azure DevOps, or Git-based deployment frameworks.
- Understanding of AI, Agentforce, and emerging Salesforce platform capabilities.
- Experience leading architecture reviews, governance boards, and technical steering committees.
- Prior experience mentoring architects, developers, and technical delivery teams within consulting organizations.
The annual salary range for this position is $149,000.00-$248,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
