Position Description
We are a team of builders, strategists, and creatives who hold ourselves to an exceptionally high standard because our clients depend on us to get it right. We are seeking an approachable, motivational, and highly sharp Senior Sales professional to serve as a trusted guide for entrepreneurs, business leaders, and SMB owners looking to bring ambitious product concepts to life-partnering with inventors as they invest their personal capital to turn long-held dreams into physical realities.
This role combines consultative sales strategy, active discovery, and cross-functional partnership. The ideal candidate brings approximately 10 years of professional sales experience, possesses deep domain curiosity, and excels at navigating the emotional, high-stakes journey of personal-funded product development across a 6+ month 52Launch team process. You will get to the 'WHY' behind every client's vision, quickly evaluating mutual fit, building momentum, and inspiring full confidence in 52Launch's end-to-end execution capabilities.
You aren't just selling a service; you are acting as a trusted mentor and strategic partner to passionate creators. For our clients, bringing a product to market is a deeply personal, high-stakes journey. You will guide them through the emotional and financial milestone of investing in their own dream, turning personal vision into tangible reality.
Responsibilities
Consultative Discovery & Client Engagement
- Act as an approachable, motivational guide for entrepreneurs and business leaders, uncovering their core goals and getting to the 'WHY' behind their product vision.
- Conduct high-impact discovery calls to quickly evaluate client needs and qualify whether 52Launch's integrated model aligns with their budget, timeline, and strategic scope.
- Build momentum and excitement throughout the sales lifecycle, instilling full confidence in 52Launch's ability to deliver across research, industrial design, sourcing, manufacturing, branding, and marketing.
- Translate contract language and complex product development roadmaps into clear, inspiring, and accessible business conversations.
Sales Operations, Lead Generation, & Pipeline Management
- Lead Mix Balance: Manage a high-performing lead mix (~70% inbound qualification from marketing/partner channels and ~30% targeted outbound networking to high-growth SMB founders).
- Sales Dynamics: Navigate consultative sales cycles spanning 30 to 90 days across contract values ranging from $7,500 strategy engagements to $100,000+ turnkey production programs.
- HubSpot CRM Mastery: Maintain rigorous CRM hygiene and pipeline tracking within HubSpot, accurately forecasting deal stages and conversion metrics.
- ClickUp Workflow Integration: Utilize ClickUp to confirm project intake, sales workflows, and handoffs, ensuring complete operational transparency across teams.
- Project Proposals: Craft tailored, highly persuasive project proposals and pitch presentations aligned with client objectives and 52Launch's full-service capabilities.
Other
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams (sales, creative, and product).
- This job description is not intended to cover every single requirement of the job.
- The company reserves the right to change job duties at any time.
What success looks like in the first 3-6 months (or moving forward)
- AI-Forward Approach to Work: Leveraging modern AI-driven tools (e.g. Gemini, Perplexity, and our internal custom AI platform, 52Spark.ai) to streamline market research, prospect outreach, and proposal generation.
- Well-Organized Sales Pipeline: Establishing clear deal stages, consistent HubSpot CRM hygiene, and structured project handoffs in ClickUp; structured product training and/or onboarding support for our consumer product innovation space will be provided.
- Consistent and Timely Prospect Engagement: Maintaining rapid response times and high conversion rates on qualified discovery calls.
- Successful Discovery Workflows: Refining a consultative discovery framework that quickly identifies client goals and mutual fit. Our clients are independent inventors and founders investing their own personal capital, not corporate budgets. Success in this role requires a masterclass in consultative selling, risk mitigation, and building profound trust over a considered, multi-month decision-making process.
- Efficient SME & Team Communication: Seamlessly bridging prospect expectations with 52Launch's design and production SMEs.
- Strong New Client Onboarding: Ensuring smooth handoff for newly signed clients to transition into active project kickoffs with clarity, structure, and enthusiasm.
Qualifications & Experience (required)
- Professional Sales Experience: 5-10 years of professional sales experience with a proven track record of working directly with entrepreneurs, business leaders, and SMB owners on high ticket services/products that are sold with contracts.
- High-Stakes Consultative Acumen: Proven track record of closing 50k-100k+ deals where buyers are investing personal funds rather than corporate budgets. Exceptional ability to dig deep, ask penetrating questions, uncover the client's core 'WHY,' and quickly evaluate mutual strategic fit.
- Empathy & Trust-Building: Exceptional ability to navigate emotional decision-making, alleviate founder anxiety, and guide clients through complex, long-term commitments. Highly approachable, motivational, sharp, articulate, and confident presenting to founders and executive decision-makers.
- Complex Storytelling: Skill in translating intricate, multi-phase technical processes (industrial design, manufacturing, supply chain) into clear, reassuring, and exciting milestones for non-technical creators.
- Pipeline & Lead Management: Demonstrated success managing both inbound lead flows and targeted outbound prospecting within a 30-90 day sales cycle.
- Platform Proficiency: Hands-on proficiency and daily discipline using CRM and project management tools (HubSpot CRM and ClickUp or similar platforms) and AI platforms.
- Domain Familiarity: Basic working knowledge across product research, industrial design, branding, sourcing, contract manufacturing, or integrated marketing services.
- Organizational Excellence: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage multiple client relationships and sales cycles simultaneously.
Qualifications & Experience (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree or professional certification in Business, Marketing, Industrial Design, Engineering, or a related field.
- Direct sales or account management experience within a product design agency, innovation consultancy, venture foundry, or contract manufacturing firm.
- Experience coordinating multi-phase service agreements spanning initial concept design through commercial production and SME handoffs.
