You are an experienced and skilled Sales Engineer with expertise in security domains including Identity and Access Management, incident response, SaaS, and OSINT. You excel at articulating complex technical solutions to audiences with varying levels of domain knowledge and are proficient in all aspects of the technical sales cycle. You are self-motivated, able to operate in a rapidly evolving environment while managing multiple demands, and value working as part of a smart, collaborative team to deliver the best solutions to your customers.
What You'll Do:
• Sales Partnership:
- Partner with our Federal sales team to present SpyCloud solutions to customers, tailored for unique use cases and environments.
- Leverage SpyCloud data to hunt adversaries and criminals, applying this to specific customer situations.
• Technical Expertise:
- Drive channel partnerships through solution architect/SME engagement.
- Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, requirements analysis, and evaluation management.
- Deep understanding of identity protection, zero-trust, threat intelligence, account takeover prevention, and malware recovery.
Requirements:
• Professional Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity presales. (10+ years Preferred)
- Must have a strong network of US Federal and Federal Channel Technical Contacts.
- Experience with link analysis tools preferred (e.g., Maltego, IBM I2 Analyst Notebook, Palantir).
• Technical Skills:
- Experience with cloud-based security solutions, APIs, SIEMs (Splunk, Elastic, etc.), and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) is preferred.
• Proposal & RFP Support:
- Contribute to technical sections of proposals and respond to RFIs/RFPs with accurate, compelling content that aligns with Federal requirements.
• Partner Enablement:
- Collaborate with Federal Channel Partners, including resellers, distributors, and Systems Integrators (SIs), to support joint sales opportunities, training, and go-to-market activities.
• Solution Architecture:
- Guide Federal customers in the technical integration of SpyCloud's solutions, including API workflows, data ingestion, and compliance alignment.
• Customer Advocacy:
- Act as a trusted advisor to help customers derive maximum value from SpyCloud's platform and stay ahead of evolving identity threats.
• Product Feedback Loop:
- Relay field intelligence and Federal-specific product feedback to internal Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams.
• Soft Skills:
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong presentation skills are a must.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple demands and operate in a rapidly evolving environment.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Nice to Have:
• Familiarity with compliance standards and certifications such as NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, CMMC, and/or TIC 3.0.
• Previous experience with SaaS-based cybersecurity platforms or threat intel solutions.
• Demonstrated success in working cross-functionally with sales, product, and engineering teams.
• Location:
- Ideally reside in the Washington, DC metro area.
• Security Clearance: Active TS or TS/SCI clearance (or ability to obtain one) is a plus.
Base Salary Range: $131,000 - $170,000
On Target Earnings (OTE): $163,000 - $213,000
OTE is reflecting base salary plus variable commission at expected performance levels. Actual earnings will vary based on individual performance.
The salary range reflects the expected base compensation for a fully qualified candidate at this level based on experience, qualifications, and market data at the time of posting.
