Senior Retirement Consultant, Canada Wealth Solutions Practice

Are you an actuarial leader looking to make a significant impact on the financial outcomes of Canadian organizations and their employees? This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our new Vancouver waterfront office - supporting connectivity and personal priorities.

What the day will look like

As an Associate Partner in Retirement Consulting, you will act as a client leader, strategic advisor, and business leader through:

Client leadership & delivery
  • Lead strategically important client relationships and contribute to some of Aon's largest and most complex retirement consulting engagements
  • Provide clear, strategic advice on plan design, funding, risk, governance and long-term sustainability, translating technical analysis into clear recommendations
  • Own delivery across engagements, ensuring priorities, timelines and client objectives are met

Technical & strategic expertise
  • Lead complex actuarial work and non-routine engagements (e.g., risk transfer, longevity, design, merger & acquisitions, financial reporting)
  • Ensure technical quality and commercial relevance of all deliverables
  • Present recommendations to senior executives, boards, committees and other key decision makers

Business development & growth
  • Find opportunities to expand client relationships, broaden service scope and build Aon's intellectual capital
  • Lead and contribute to proposals, finalist presentations, client growth strategies, market thought leadership initiatives and the continued growth of Aon's presence in Western Canada

Leadership & team management
  • Lead and coordinate high-performing multidisciplinary teams
  • Supervise, develop and mentor junior colleagues to develop our future leaders

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • 10+ years in pension plan consulting or related field
  • Demonstrated ability to lead client relationships and deliver complex engagements
  • Experience contributing to business development and client growth
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or other related degree
  • Fully qualified actuary (FSA/FCIA)
