What you'll be doing

As a Senior Relationship Manager, you'll focus on growing direct revenue, retaining high-net-worth client relationships, and expanding business within your portfolio. You'll align with clients' sophisticated financial needs, investment objectives, and the organization's strategies, while actively building the client base through networking, community involvement, and exceptional relationship management.

How you'll succeed
  • Manage client relationships: Oversee a portfolio to ensure client retention and business growth while aligning with client investment objectives and organizational policies.
  • Expand your portfolio: Acquire new high-net-worth clients with complex financial needs by engaging in targeted business development activities and collaborating with Business Development Officers.
  • Drive profitability: Achieve revenue goals, control expenses, and monitor profit performance, taking corrective actions as necessary.
  • Deliver exceptional service: Foster a service culture by leveraging expertise in investment and wealth advisory services to provide best-in-class relationship management.
  • Engage in client events: Actively participate in client-focused events to enhance business development efforts and strengthen relationships.

Who you are
  • Educational background: Hold a bachelor's degree and/or advanced certifications such as MBA, CFA, CPA, CFP, or JD.
  • Wealth management expertise: Bring 15+ years of experience in portfolio management, wealth management, personal tax, or financial planning.
  • Investment knowledge: Possess comprehensive understanding of investment products and strategies to address the needs of sophisticated high-net-worth clients.
  • Financially savvy: Demonstrate strong financial analysis skills to provide expert advice on complex and high-value client relationships.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $175,000- $250,000 for the New York, NY market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
