Job Description
The Senior Quality Manager, Learning & Capability is an individual contributor within Central Quality responsible for developing and continuously improving training, capability, and performance support solutions that strengthen quality performance, compliance, and culture.
Reporting to the Director of Quality Training and Capability Development, this role partners with Process Owners, SMEs and leadership to identify capability needs and design fit-for-purpose learning strategies, qualification programs, performance support tools, trainer readiness that improve QMS execution, Quality Excellence, and adoption in the business.
The role serves as the capability lead for assigned Quality programs. It also drives continuous improvement of the global Quality training management process and procedures, including standardization and efficiencies opportunities. Success is measured through improved workforce proficiency, process performance, learning effectiveness, and quality outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Capability Solution Design & Development
- Partner with Process Owners, SMEs, and stakeholders to identify capability needs and design learning, qualification, certification, and performance support solutions that improve QMS execution and business performance.
- Lead the deployment of solutions, including rollout approach, trainer readiness, workshops and ongoing monitoring.
- Provide expert guidance on learning and performance methodologies to drive adoption, proficiency, and sustained performance.
Capability Program Leadership & Effectiveness
- Serve as the capability lead for assigned Quality programs, partnering with Process Owners to drive successful implementation, sustainment, and continuous improvement.
- With the process owners, establish and maintain trainer networks that support workforce readiness and adoption.
- Monitor program effectiveness and performance trends, using data and stakeholder feedback to strengthen capability, process performance, and quality outcomes.
Continuous Improvement, Governance & Compliance
- Provide process ownership or support for Central Quality training processes, ensuring effective governance, continuous improvement, and alignment with business and compliance needs.
- Ensure training and qualification activities are compliant, inspection-ready, and supported by appropriate documentation and controls.
- Leverage learning technologies, analytics, and approved AI-enabled tools to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and learner experience.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum BS Degree in Engineering or Science related field required.
- Eight (8+) years of experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industries with knowledge of Quality Systems, training, capability development or related disciplines.
- Experience designing and implementing learning solutions, qualification programs, workflow learning, performance support tools, or capability-building initiatives.
- Experience with digital Learning applications including AI enabled tools
- Strong facilitation, consultation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree or certification in Learning & Development, Learning Experience Design, Organizational Development or equivalent discipline.
- Experience supporting global or multi-site programs.
- Experience with audits, inspections, or compliance improvement initiatives.
