Position SummaryThe
Senior Quality Engineer (QE) is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through comprehensive testing and validation activities. This role partners closely with business analysts, developers, and technical teams to understand requirements, develop test strategies, execute test plans, identify defects, and support successful product releases and create reusable automation frameworks. The ideal candidate brings strong healthcare industry knowledge, hands-on Process automation / testing experience, and a solid understanding of Agile development practices
Required Qualifications- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality engineering and test automation.
- Experience within the Medicare or Health Insurance industry, including areas such as claims, member benefits, payer, or provider systems.
- Strong understanding of Quality Assurance methodologies, testing best practices, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Hands-on experience with: Test Automation , Test planning, test case development, and test executionDefect identification, tracking, and managementFunctional, regression, integration, and user interface (UI) testing through automation test suites
- Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Power Automate or similar technologies.
- Experience creating and managing test cases aligned to user stories in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Experience using Agile test management and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Derive test automation scripts through JIRA stories
- Ability to write and execute SQL queries for data validation and testing.
- Familiarity with EDI files and healthcare transaction sets.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage priorities, and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications- Ability to read and understand application code and stored procedures to assist with troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Experience performing impact analysis and assessing regression testing needs for application changes.
- Experience validating UI/UX workflows and providing recommendations for usability improvements.
EducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:
$92,700.00 - $185,400.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
