Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain UI and API-based automation frameworks.
- Build automated tests for new and existing product features.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Investigate test failures, identify root causes, and improve system reliability.
- Improve automation coverage, stability, performance, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with development teams to promote quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Partner with QA Manual team to strategize test coverage
- Define and refine automation architecture, tooling, and engineering best practices.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship across the QA team.
Required Skills & Experience- Ability to commute to the Boston Seaport office at least 1-2 days per week.
- 5+ years of experience developing automated test solutions for complex web or cloud-based applications.
- Strong experience developing UI and API-based automation frameworks.
- Proficiency in Java, Javascript, or Typescript. Java is preferred, experience in JS/TS is required.
- Familiarity with source control systems such as Git.
- Experience with CI/CD systems, automated testing pipelines, and modern software development practices.
- Strong understanding of web technologies, REST APIs, asynchronous processing, and distributed systems.
- Demonstrated ability with debugging and problem-solving.
- Team-oriented and takes initiative to engage with stakeholders to devise solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across globally distributed teams.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience testing CAD applications or OpenGL-based graphics systems.
- Experience working in cloud-native or SaaS environments.
- Experience with containerized applications and modern development tooling.
- Experience validating large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and influencing engineering best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience leveraging AI-assisted engineering tools and workflows to accelerate test automation development, improve test effectiveness, and increase software quality across complex distributed systems.

PTC carefully considers a wide variety of factors when determining compensation. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is between $118,000 - 165,000. The salary range reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, candidates may be eligible for a performance-based bonus.
