Full Job Description
Halff has an immediate opening in our Little Rock, AR office for a Professional Civil Engineer to fill our Senior Project Manager role. The ideal candidate would have 10 or more years of experience in public works, municipal roadway, land development, drainage, detention, water/wastewater utility design, and/or utilities design. The position will be for a Senior Project Manager interested in managing design and construction for a wide range of public and private infrastructure projects. Projects include, yet not limited to, roadways, drainage systems, water and wastewater pipelines, civil site work and associated civil improvements in land development as well as public parks and trails facilities. What you will do:
  • Works closely with the Team Leader in the development and delivery of projects.
  • Responsible for managing and overseeing the design and construction of infrastructure projects.
  • This position requires strong design and project management experience and knowledge of working with local entities.
  • The role will have a large amount of autonomy in managing other professional engineers, engineers-in-training, and CAD designers.
  • Maintain and further develop client relationships throughout Arkansas including multiple cities and counties.
  • This position shall value and be active in professional organizations that benefit the Public Works industry.
  • Manage design and plan production as well as manage clients and supervise technical staff through workshare opportunities with various practices and offices at Halff.

What you will need:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in Arkansas, or transferable within 2 months.
  • Experience in roadway design, construction sequencing, storm water drainage systems, detention concepts, erosion & sediment control, modeling software, reports, and design.
  • Good technical writing and communication skills.
  • Experience in project scope development, professional services fee development and staffing projections.
  • Experience in producing winning project proposals as lead professional/project manager.
  • Strong ability to train and mentor staff.
  • Must be proficient in project management, administration, and supervision.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with multiple offices and various disciplines.
  • Positive attitude, self-directed.
  • Additional experience in Transportation and/or Land Development preferred.
