  • Collaborate with Estimators and Sales teams to review bids and develop proposals
  • Evaluate risk and loss exposure on managed projects
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Promote safety and quality control across all projects

Full Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to be focused on supporting our growing Nuclear Division. This Senior Project Manager would ideally be based in the Southeast Region of the US in Chattanooga or Charlotte.

STRUCTURAL's Nuclear Division has a mission to extend the service life of the nation's largest source of clean, carbon free, energy. Our team features a multitude of positions in various geographic regions collaborating effectively through travel, video conferences, and collocating on project sites. The Nuclear Division has responsibility for all 50 states.

Our Nuclear Division is recognized as an industry leader in developing technical and innovative repair solutions for both safety related and non-safety related projects under both our own and our partners NQA-1 Appendix B programs. We focus on all manner of significant infrastructure in the nuclear fleet including large hyperbolic cooling towers, underwater intake structures and even the reactor containment building.

As a Senior Project Manager for STRUCTURAL, you will be responsible for managing complex Industrial construction projects that make our nation's structures stronger and last longer.

The successful candidate, you will be also be responsible for:
  • Managing self-performed complex repair and restoration projects on Nuclear sites.
  • Preparing contracts and negotiating revisions while working with internal contracts teams as needed
  • Developing and managing schedules in collaboration with field leadership
  • Maintaining profit & loss responsibility as well as other project financials including projections, etc.
  • Providing strong leadership, mentorship and supervision to Project Managers, Field Managers, Project Engineers, and subcontractors
  • Working closely with in-house Estimators and Sales teams to assist in reviewing bids and developing proposals
  • Evaluating risk and loss exposure on projects managed
  • Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Demonstrating dedication to safety and quality control on all projects


Candidates who meet the following criteria may be considered for this exciting position:
  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil/Structural Engineering or related field of study
  • 10-17 years of relevant experience within the nuclear, industrial construction and/or restoration industry
  • Prior experience in the nuclear industry preferably on infrastructure or safety related projects.
  • Demonstrated capability to successfully manage construction projects up to roughly $5 million - $15 million in contract value
  • Prior experience in general repair type projects to include concrete repair, structural strengthening, waterproofing, corrosion control, etc.
  • Proven knowledge of computer-based programs including Microsoft Office as well as project management and forecasting tools
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively train and mentor others
