Description

Martin/Martin is looking for an experienced civil senior project engineer to join our Kansas City, Missouri office.

The position will provide opportunities for civil design throughout the Kansas City area as well as nationally. A successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter with strong technical, project management, and client communication skills. We are a client-focused and employee-centered firm.

Responsibilities
  • Assists in conceptual design.
  • Assists in fee determination and proposal preparation.
  • Fills out Project Setup Forms and reviews/fills out work authorizations.
  • Establishes a QA/QC plan for each project.
  • Acts as a mentor for younger engineers and assists with their career development.
  • Attends project meetings and represents Martin/Martin, Inc. during design and construction.
  • Follows up on collection of account receivables.


Requirements

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum.
  • Min 7 years' experience in site development
  • Has a Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Kansas or the ability to obtain one within three months
  • Must be eligible to work for any employer in the United States, without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Ability to work in the Kansas City area. Relocation reimbursement may be provided, depending on the role and job function.

Working Conditions, Skills, & Abilities

This position is primarily technical in nature and requires working inside and outside the office to complete a wide range of activities. The following abilities are required:
  • Move inside or outside the office and on non-ADA accessible construction sites
  • Remain stationary for long periods of time
  • Repetitive movement on tasks such as using a keyboard or mouse
  • Carry, ascend, and descend a ladder
  • Identify color
  • Read, communicate, and document in English
  • Determine and exchange accurate information
  • Occasionally move or hold equipment weighing up to 50 pounds

Compensation

The wage range for this role considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
  • Base Salary
  • Base Salary Review: This role is eligible to participate in Martin/Martin's annual base salary increase review process.
  • Annual Bonus: This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary annual bonus program.

Base salary review and increases, in addition to annual bonuses, are dependent on various factors, including a hired individual's job-level and annual company performance.
