Job Overview:

Job Summary**

The Senior Project Control Scheduler will develop, maintain, and analyze detailed project schedules for various energy infrastructure projects, ensuring accurate forecasting, resource allocation, and progress tracking to support project success. This role is based in Independence, Missouri.

Job Responsibilities**

* Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive project schedules (CPM and P6) for large-scale energy projects, including pipelines, power plants, and industrial facilities, from initiation through closeout.
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to gather necessary schedule data, define work breakdown structures (WBS), and identify critical path activities.
* Perform critical path analysis, schedule risk analysis, and "what-if" scenarios to identify potential delays and recommend mitigation strategies.
* Monitor and track project progress against baseline schedules, identifying variances, reporting on schedule performance, and developing recovery plans as needed.
* Prepare and present detailed schedule reports, progress updates, and dashboards to project teams and senior management.
* Ensure adherence to company scheduling standards, policies, and best practices.
* Facilitate schedule review meetings and provide training and guidance to junior scheduling staff as required.
* Integrate schedule data with cost control systems to provide a holistic view of project performance.
* Support change management processes by evaluating schedule impacts of change orders and incorporating approved changes into the project schedule.
* Assist in the development of project close-out schedules and documentation.

Job Qualifications**

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related technical field.
* Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in project controls scheduling, preferably within the energy, oil & gas, or heavy industrial construction sectors.
* Expert proficiency in Primavera P6 (EPPM and Professional) is required.
* Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling techniques and best practices.
* Demonstrated experience in developing, maintaining, and analyzing complex project schedules for multi-million dollar projects.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal).
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Experience with earned value management (EVM) principles is a plus.
* PMP or PMI-SP certification is highly desirable.
