About the OpportunityEllucian is seeking a Senior Programmer Analyst with strong technical experience in Ellucian Banner to play a key role in delivering innovative technology solutions that support our higher education partners. In this role, you will collaborate closely with customers, consultants, and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into effective technical solutions, including system integrations, data conversions, reporting, and custom application development.
You will leverage your hands-on technical expertise with Ellucian Banner, along with your programming and problem-solving skills, to design, develop, and implement high-quality solutions while providing exceptional customer consultation and support.
Where you will make an impact- Working with other consultants to develop organizational standards, effective practices, and knowledge-base
- Monitoring, tracking, and reporting project risks, issues, milestones, and work completed
- Providing leadership for the customer enabling them to stay on time and on task
- Facilitating application prototyping sessions as well as providing insight into best practice methodologies
- Evaluating and modifying systems, where appropriate, relative to the customer business practices
- Analyzing, defining, and documenting requirements for data, work-flow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs
- Providing customer with high-quality installation guides, change management, and other appropriate documentation
- Providing direction in developing testing methodology and test scripts for use during upgrades, patch application, and customization
- Working with the customer to test and confirm modifications and/or updates meet specifications
- Providing technical assistance by responding to inquiries from others regarding errors, problems, or questions about programs
- Training end users or technical support staff to use programs
- Installing and testing programs at client site; monitoring performance of programs after implementation
- Implementing modifications and/or updates
- Customizing and coding screen layouts, graphical user interfaces, printed outputs, and interfaces with other systems

- years related experience in the Higher Education industry
- 3+ years of experience and expert technical programming knowledge of at least one of the following Banner modules:
- Finance
- Human Resources/Payroll
- Student
- Financial Aid
- 3+ years of advanced programming experience with:
- SQL-Developer
- Oracle SQL
- Oracle PL/SQL
- Linux
- Banner functional navigational knowledge, preferred3+ years of experience and expert technical programming knowledge of at least one of the following Banner related 3rd-party products, and/or other systems such as:
- Argos
- Perceptive Content (Hyland)
- Automic
- Canvas ERP
