JOB DESCRIPTION: SAIC is seeking a Principal Program Systems Integration Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, CA. Due to security requirements, work is required to be on-site in a secure facility. SAIC is sub-contractor on the Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM) Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (MSEIT) contract. The MSEIT effort provides leading edge SE&I for the Space Force's Space System Command. We support the Space Force's acquisition of state-of-the-art MILSATCOM systems, providing secure global, survivable, and protected communications for our nation's warfighters. You will join the Systems Integration team within the broader Systems Engineering team defining the next generation of space communication systems supporting U.S. Space Force (USSF) Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM). You will support Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) activities in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. The Systems Integration Engineer will interface and collaborate with SE&I team members, contractors, government civilians and members of the USSF. The Systems Integration Engineer will lead and support several working groups responsible for leading technical discussion, resolve and identify risks, requirement gaps, developing briefings, writing and tracking action items, and authoring meeting minutes. Key Responsibilities: 37 Develop and implement integration strategies and processes to successfully integrate satellite communication systems, segments (Ground, Space, Crypto, Terminals), subsystems, elements, and components; manage the technical baselines among different stakeholders 37 Perform analysis of the systems requirements that define the technical baseline and verification of the technical baseline 37 Apply Digital Engineering methods and modeling strategies (i.e. Digital twins) to support integration and test activities 37 Work with Government and contractor personnel to close gaps with customer requirements across the program; support major requirements reviews, design reviews, and other associated meetings 37 Lead and support Government/Contractor Working Group meetings-by developing briefings, leading discussion, and writing minutes-to address/resolve risks, issues, and action items 37 Review proposed changes to the technical baseline for impacts to enterprise capabilities and to cross-stakeholder integration concerns 37 Define and deliver alternative solutions to address different integration challenges; manage schedule impact and overall delivery of products 37 Facilitate review of contractor-developed program documents by performing technical assessments and providing comments, compiling other review team comments, and working with contractors to adjudicate the comments. 37 Serve as a subject matter expert to assess technical issues and to prepare briefings to U.S. Space Force program office personnel and other stakeholders; provide courses of actions to support Government decisions 37 Support management of risks, issues, interdependencies, identifying schedule disconnects and conflicts, developing action plans for resolution, and assisting the Government in executing selected solutions Qualifications Required: 37 Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance 37 Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or related technical field 37 8+ years' engineering work experience 37 5+ years' work experience in Systems Engineering, including such sub-disciplines as requirements management and technical baseline development, test planning, integration, and execution; verification; and validation 37 Experience developing or managing requirements documents/specifications or Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for complex systems 37 Strong interpersonal skills, communication (oral and written), and presentation skills 37 Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) 37 Work is on-site in a secure facility due to customer security requirements Desired: 37 Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility 37 Master's degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, or computer science, or related technical field 37 Experience working with/on MILSATCOM programs; such as AEHF, PTS, EPS, WGS, or FAB-T terminal programs 37 Experience working with military personnel and DoD civilians 37 Experience with ground and space systems, such as terminals and networks 37 Knowledge and experience in Agile Development and collaboration tools (Jira/Confluence) 37 Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, INCOSE CSEP / ESEP / ASEP) Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000.
