Full Job Description
ABOUT THE JOB

At Anduril, our Product Sourcing Engineers are the critical link between engineering design and supply chain execution - making sure our hardware is manufacturable, cost-effective, and ready to scale from day one. You'll operate in a fast-paced environment alongside design, manufacturing, and quality teams, influencing product architecture early and building supplier pipelines that hold up under real production pressure. We're looking for technical sourcing professionals with deep expertise in design-for-manufacturability, cost engineering, and supplier qualification to help build the next generation of defense technology.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Shape the Design Early: Embed with Design Engineering during concept and prototype phases to run technical reviews, drive DFM/DFA, and align design intent with what suppliers can actually build at rate.
  • Qualify the Supply Base: Evaluate and select global suppliers based on technical capability, process maturity, quality systems, and capacity to deliver complex assemblies against aggressive schedules.
  • Own the Cost Curve: Lead should-cost analyses, teardowns, and process assessments to expose cost drivers and drive design-to-cost initiatives without compromising performance, reliability, or margin.
  • Land NPI into Production: Run the technical transition from NPI into serial production - first-article inspections, PPAP, yield ramp, and resolution of early-stage manufacturing issues at the supplier floor.
  • De-Risk the Build: Identify technical single points of failure, qualify alternate processes or sources, and drive ECOs and corrective actions to unblock supplier-facing build issues before they hit the program.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or a related engineering discipline, with 3+ years in a hybrid engineering / sourcing / supply chain role delivering hardware into production.
  • Manufacturing Process Depth: Strong working knowledge of the manufacturing processes relevant to your commodity and their cost drivers - able to walk a supplier floor and identify what's real, what's optimistic, and what will fail at scale.
  • Drawings & GD&T: Fluent in engineering drawings, schematics, and CAD models, with solid GD&T instincts to reconcile design tolerances with supplier process capability.
  • Supplier Engagement & Root-Cause: Track record of working shoulder-to-shoulder with suppliers to troubleshoot fab issues, improve yield, and drive rigorous root-cause corrective action (8D / CAPA).
  • Clearance: Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
