Job Summary
The Sr. Product Owner will drive the design, development, and delivery of data-driven solutions within the Wealth Management domain. The role will own the product vision and roadmap for Wealth Management data products while serving as a bridge between business stakeholders, data engineers, UX designers, technology teams, advisors, and compliance functions. The position will focus on developing data products that enhance client experience, portfolio performance insights, compliance, and advisor effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
• Define and own the product vision and roadmap for Wealth Management data products, including client 360, investment analytics, advisor dashboards, and financial planning tools.
• Translate business requirements into user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Prioritize and manage product backlogs in alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Wealth Management advisors, data engineers, UX designers, compliance teams, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
• Partner with data architects and engineers to design scalable and reliable data products leveraging structured and unstructured data.
• Define data contracts and data quality requirements for Wealth Management use cases.
• Ensure data products align with regulatory and risk frameworks, including KYC, AML, and fiduciary requirements.
• Monitor product performance and adoption and refine features based on stakeholder feedback and usage data.
• Act as the voice of the customer, including internal advisors, end clients, and compliance teams, throughout the product lifecycle.
• Conduct regular product reviews and demonstrations with stakeholders.
• Manage expectations and communicate progress, risks, and dependencies transparently.
Required Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, with at least 3-5 years of experience in Wealth Management.
• Strong understanding of Wealth Management products, including portfolio management, client onboarding, investment advisory, and performance reporting.
• Experience working on or building data-driven products such as data lakes, data marts, analytics platforms, and reporting tools.
• Proven experience working in Agile environments, including Scrum or SAFe.
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS.
• Knowledge of data governance, privacy, and financial compliance requirements such as SEC, FINRA, and GDPR.
• SQL coding experience.
• Data modeling experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
• MBA or related advanced degree.
